Impressive manor house that you approach via the driveway. Inside it’s a bit 90s chic. It’s kept up but not equally well maintained everywhere. It’s a large property with lots of facilities. Rooms are spacious and well equipped (we had a Deluxe family room), but could do with a proper refurbishment.
Staff are super friendly and very motivated. Dunston Hall can be proud of such a great team!
We ate at the bar twice. Very good value for money.
Another advantage is that there are more than enough parking spaces, and they’re generously sized so you can easily park a large, wide car too.
A good, comfortable, relaxed hotel; don’t expect a five-star country estate hotel.
Points for improvement:
The whole building could use a facelift. Perhaps lean more into a country-estate style. The downside is that this would probably make it more expensive too.
Property itself was fantastic, lovely area, amazing staff.
Breakfast was terrible, greasy food, poor coffee. Considering I paid for the King room I expected a better furnishing. If compared to the premium rooms at Sprowston Manor (the local competitor) then Sprowston is considerably more luxurious.
This is more like a jumped up Premier Inn. Next time just head to Sprowston if you want a bit more luxury.
Loved the property and the hotel. Location great and facilities amazing. Staff friendly and very helpful.
I didn’t appreciate the fact that the lady who was doing the cleaning left her cleaning gloves in my suitcase on top of my clothes.
-The building and gardens are fantastic.
-the breakfast and food was good.
-it’s nice being able to access the lesiure facilities.
-reception staff were super friendly and helpful
-the rooms need updating
-outdoor seating needs more cushions for the seats outside.
Beautiful location and surroundings
Good food good helpful staff lovely position good a cess to Norwich and also to the Broads
even though we had booked a deluxe family room we had only one tiny window (with bees swarming outside) and fairly mean supply of coffee milk etc. it didn't feel deluxe but was adequate and clean.
Nice place and relax, staffs are wonderful kind and care for customers
Excellent staff and very good hotel ambiance
Prefer a more customised breakfast
Water was quite cold and had a aqua session going on also the ladies changing room was upstairs and with a disability it was very tiring and painful
Relaxing hotel, our room was brilliant, bar food was great and very nice staff throughout whole hotel.
Breakfast seating area in end room -the furniture is very basic and the area needs a deep clean, dust, splashes on walls etc. The main seating area we walked through looked better though. Pool nice but changing rooms a bit dated.
