Extremely good location, minutes' walk from the centre and station. Very helpful and friendly staff. Very comfy bed.
Breakfast extra, delivered to the room at a time of your choice (not 'English' though!). Fan in the room for heatwave.
Would recommend to friends.
Can't think of any complaints!
Quiet charming hotel near to city centre. Friendly staff.
superb waterfall shower and the bath in the room brilliant and plenty of hot water
Location. Comfy bed.
We were in room 2 it was quite dark, didn't seem to be many light switches
I stayed at Jorvik house for one night and all I can say is I wish I stayed for longer. The place was super clean, conveniently located close to the train and city center, and very comfortable. I wish I stayed for longer. I will be back!
Location
The beds were a little hard other than that everything was great
Great location, spotlessly clean, friendly staff
Nothing
Staff were excellent, especially reception staff. Decor was tasteful and welcoming. Location was excellent, close to all major attractions.
Parking was an issue. Only Parking available was 25 Pounds per day, so if you need to park your car, it adds a fair bit to the room rate.
Weather was horrendously hot, only fan we had was about the size of a dinner plate. Given that summers are getting hotter, strongly suggest that management make an investment in some bigger fans.
Absolutely love boutique style hotels. Jorvik plays it perfect.
Location
Location was perfect for walking into city centre, the art gallery, the museum, the river. the park opposite was amazing especially during the heatwave. Claire on Reception was a brilliant brand ambassador. 5 stars to her.
Room 17 window frames were rotten mouldy. Totally spoiled the whole ambience. To be fair it probably first time they have been open in ages because of the heatwave.
Cost of drinks in fridge were just greed personified, £2.75 for a small bottle of water .
Coffee machine had no user instructions
The location is fantastic, easy walking distance from both the train station and the main sights of the city. The room is a good size and has a comfortable bed. In a quiet location. I knew in advance but most rooms are up or downstairs.
I wish there was a mirror right over the sink, it was a bit awkward although there is a very high mirror and a mirror right outside the bathroom door.
Locations was incredible, building was beautiful
Staying during the heatwave meant it was extremely hot, however, obviously not at the fault of the hotel.
Beautiful room well presented and stocked
Excellent bathroom especially the shower
Very central location to York
Very noisy on a morning with cleaners starting work early and sound carries cery easily in this small hotel
Didn't have breakfast so can't rate. The location of Jorvik house was v good, near the river and city centre, which was excellent because we watched a show nearby which was only about 20mins away. The hotel is lovely and modern.
Everything to me and my daughter was good. Couldn't fault it.
