Pros:

Well located for access to both train station and all the attractions of the old town by foot. The staff are friendly and professional, allowing us to enter our rooms early on a scorching hot day. We liked the design of the rooms and were grateful for air-conditioning during an early summer heatwave.

Cons:

We had 2 rooms for our party of 3 (26 & 28). We couldn't cool down one of the rooms sufficiently we think due to the air-conditioning venting being outside (wouldn't normally be an issue but during extraordinary heatwaves it is).

Excellent hôtel, deux étoiles annexe d'un trois étoiles. Personnel charmant. A 5 minutes de la gare et à deux minutes du Duomo, comment trouver un meilleur emplacement ? Très bon petit déjeuner.

Nos guardaron las maletras tras el check out gratuitamente de forma que pudimos aprovechar la mañana para seguir visitando la ciudad.

A Lucca per il Summer Festival.
Pros:

L'hotel è situato in posizione ottimale,vicino alle mura e alle altre attrazioni della città.
Le camere sono disposte nella struttura principale -hotel San Martino (dove viene servita anche la colazione)- e in una graziosa dependance a pochi passi dal San Martino - hotel Diana,dove ho soggiornato.
Camera spaziosa con affaccio su di un cortile interno,letto comodo,bagno nuovo con sapone per doccia e phon.Aria condizionata ben funzionante.
Colazione varia ed abbondante,con scelta dolce e salata:dai cornettini alle crostate e ai dolci, dal pane di vario tipo alle marmellate,dagli yogurt ai cereali ai salumi e formaggio ce n'è veramente per tutti i gusti e i vassoi vengono riforniti di continuo.
L'hotel ha dei posti auto a disposizione vicino alla struttura(tenete però presente la conformazione della città, per cui vicoli un pochino stretti per chi non è abituato ma basta fare attenzione).
Ma il vero fiore all'occhiello,dal mio punto di vista,è rappresentato dallo staff e dalla simpaticissima titolare:la cortesia e la gentilezza dimostratemi possono apparire inusuali al giorno d'oggi ma fanno parte di quel "capitale umano" che caratterizza la cultura toscana dell'accoglienza e del saper vivere.
Un ringraziamento particolare quindi alla titolare, al gentilissimo e preparato ragazzo e,infine,a Claudia per come ci hanno fatto sentire coccolati,nonostante il caldo e il gran da fare.

Pros:

Mooie kamer met voldoende faciliteiten en een uitstekende locatie. Personeel erg vriendelijke en eager-to-please. Mooie ruime badkamer en goed werkende redelijk stille airco. Fijn verbleven.

Cons:

Niets. Alles klopte en voelde erg fijn. Misschien goed te vermelden dat we niet in het 'Diana-deel' zaten.

A charming little Lucca hotel.
Pros:

I spent two nights in the Annex building. The room was small but cute with nice tiled flooring and great AC which was great in the stifling June heat. The room and bathroom were very clean and the shower was perfect. Breakfast was continental and provided lots of fresh fruit, meats and cheeses. The location was perfect!Very near many attractions and beautiful restaurants, churches etc. Lastly, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and made my stay worthwhile. Thank you.

Cons:

The only issue I had was noisy guests. I was staying in room 30 which is right beside the entrance to the building and inconsiderate guests would enter late at night and slam the door closed and make a lot of noise. This did disturb my sleep. But that's not the hotel's fault. For future guests, please be aware when coming back late and close the door gently.
