Northern lights trip to Vik
Pros:

Breakfast was good and included. No view of anything. Had to go up to above church for aurora viewing.

Cons:

Restaurant Berg needs some work. Food for dinner is subpar. There are other restaurants to eat dinner at in town that are better.

Abbiamo soggiornato al Vík Mýrdal e nel complesso l’esperienza è stata positiva. La camera quadrupla era pulita e curata, anche se a nostro avviso non è particolarmente adatta a ospitare quattro persone adulte.

Il personale si è dimostrato gentile, disponibile e professionale, sempre attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Ottima la colazione, con una buona varietà di proposte, e davvero eccellente anche la cena.

La struttura è bella e accogliente, situata in una posizione comoda per visitare la zona di Vík e le sue principali attrazioni.

Nice but expensive
Pros:

We stayed in the smaller building. It’s in a great location, and you can walk to dinner or the grocery store, even the beach. It was great to have a fridge for our groceries. As vegans, the breakfast was outstanding. Lots of options to fuel us before a long day exploring the southern coast! There is tons of free parking across the street, if the parking in front of the hotel is full.

Cons:

The bathroom seemed like an after thought. The shower doors didn’t match and let so much water out during a shower. A big negative for the price you pay for the hotel.

Pros:

Spazi, staff, pulizia e struttura in generale molto ben fatta.

Cons:

Per il livello dell'hotel e la cura di altri dettagli, non ho capito la scelta di determinate mattonelle per il pavimento della doccia. Se non si faceva attenzione a come muoversi, tra l'acqua ed il sapone il pavimento è risultato molto scivoloso e quindi decisamente pericoloso.

The location was excellent and the hotel was lovely. The bar had a good selection of drinks and breakfast was excellent

Cons:

We were unable to start a tab at the bar or charge drinks to our room so had to pay for each round of drinks at the time. No problem, but would have preferred to charge them to our room.

Cons:

Your check-in receptionist Francesca needs to improve on her customer relations. After a long drive and a tiring day, I expected a warm welcome. All I got was, “Yes?”, then “can I have your passport”, followed by “the check-in time officially is 4 pm” (it was 1.30 pm). No smile, nothing. On the other hand, the cleaners of the rooms were extremely friendly and polite. Maybe they should change jobs with Francesca.
