The property is very well maintained, and the housekeeping team does a great job. The location is ideal— right across from the beach, shops, and restaurants. The apartments are spacious, beautifully furnished, and perfect for a relaxing stay.

Cons:

Some of the signage about extra fees for minor things can feel off‑putting. There’s even a charge for pool towels and for getting fresh towels or linen. Guests are also required to wash and put away all dishes before checking out, which made departure more hectic than necessary. Most places simply ask that the dishwasher be loaded and turned on, rather than waiting for everything to be washed and put away.

Location was amazing

Cons:

We had to wash the dishes when we arrived as there was dried food on the bowls and cutlery. The exhaust fan was super loud and took a long time to turn off. The air conditioning didn’t work at all and the apartment was very cold. Bathroom tiles in disrepair

A two night stay to get away from home- Plantation Resort exceeded our expectations.
Pros:

Location, Size of the Apartment, Modern, Spa in apartment

Cons:

2 bars of soap in each bathroom- only 1 provided in each. Every other 2-bathroom apartment I have stayed in has always provided 2 bars per bathroom.... 1 for the shower and 1 for the basin.
Also th pool should have been about 2 degrees warmer.

Location was fantastic. Apartment was lovely and clean and spacious. Modern feel.

Cons:

Our toilet seat was loose and water seemed to run out of shower door not the best drainage. But very minimal things.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The position of this unit is very convenient.
Pros:

We liked the balcony, the size of the lounge room, the kitchen facilities and that it had dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer. The sofa was reasonably comfortable. Beds were comfortable. We loved that we were right in the Main Street and close to restaurants etc. We liked the pool area.

Cons:

Poor lighting in garage parking area. Poor lightening in the bathrooms. Spiral stairs to rooftop terrace meant that we could not use it- this should be made really clear on the booking information so that you know what to expect. I would have not paid extra for the rooftop terrace if o had known that it was spiral stairs to get up there. The spa in the pool area is a bit too cold to be enjoyable.

Very rude customer service reception lady with expensive disappointing accommodation but good location

Cons:

The reception lady is VERY unhelpful and rude and made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. We booked a two bedroom penthouse terrace apartment. It was for a special occasion and we asked if we could please get a quiet room with a good view as we came out of season when the town was quiet. Although other apartments were available we were given the worst one. There were no tissues and one toilet roll for four people for 4 nights stay in our room. We had to buy our own toilet paper. The main bedroom was VERY dark you couldn’t see without the light on. It was stuck at the back of the apartment with no view. The second bedroom couldn’t open the door more than 20 cm as it banged up against the bed. You had to enter through the bathroom. You couldn’t open the blind as it faces the main corridor. It was VERY small. We used the safe in the main bedroom but couldn’t get it to open on the last day. When we asked for help from reception we were treated as if we are a problem. The safe rusted and got stuck. We had to try and open it by ourselves which we eventually managed to do. We loved Rainbow Beach,but Plantation Resort has the worst customer service we have ever experience at any resort. It was a very uncomfortable and regrettable experience. We paid a lot of money to celebrate a special occasion but were treated with such rudeness that unfortunately our long awaited special break was a big let down. We specifically booked the best apartment but was very disappointed with the bedrooms.

Cons:

There were no extra towels or face washers provided. We had three kids with us and 4 adults and were short one towel. Had two face washers between all of us. My bed was hard and lumpy. One night, when I was feeding my through the night, I looked up and saw a large cockroach on the wall above our heads. It crawled into the air-conditioning vent.
