Hotel Doupiani House

This is probably the best hotel in the area. The views are amazing if you book the panorama room. It’s also probably the closest to the monasteries. We enjoyed staying in the smaller, quiet, traditional feeling village instead of the larger town. There are enough good restaurants and supermarkets.
The interior of the room and hotel is beautiful. The staff was very friendly and I loved the local Greek options at breakfast (for example homemade spanakopita and bougatsa, Greek and lentil salad, Greek yoghurt, local honey and jams). We wish we could have stayed another night!

We arrived later than planned, so unfortunately we didn't have enough time to fully enjoy this wonderful place. Staying at Doupiani House is a true aesthetic experience and the perfect complement to an unforgettable visit to Meteora. We would love to come back and spend several days here, as there are so many unique activities and attractions in the area beyond the famous monasteries.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel's attention to its guests. At the entrance, we were warmly greeted by the security guard, who kindly helped us park our car. Even though the hotel was fully booked, there were plenty of parking spaces available. It was a wonderful first impression and showed us how much the hotel cares about both the comfort and safety of its guests.

The staff were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and professional. The atmosphere of the hotel beautifully reflects the traditions and genuine hospitality of the Greek people.

Breakfast was delicious, generous, and offered a great variety of choices. Combined with the spectacular mountain views and the fragrant gardens surrounding the property, it made every morning feel special. Whether you're watching the sunrise or enjoying the evening light, the setting is simply magical.

Our room had everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable, with a choice of pillows and crisp, spotless white linens. I highly recommend booking a room with a balcony and mountain view—it is worth every extra euro.

Although a new hotel is currently being built nearby, it did not affect our stay at all. There was no noticeable noise or dust. We only hope that once it opens (perhaps in 2027 or 2028), it will preserve the peace and tranquility that make this place so special.
