I thought that it might be fun to bring my wife to an old British style hotel. It's ok...hallways look like The Shining...seriously.
Wifi pretty much non existent. At least on the fourth floor. It kind of felt like 1970's in the room. Bed was nice and comfortable. Shower was hot and cleaning was good.
Wifi
It was rather good thank you.
Nothing much. I just couldn’t see much through the window of the room.
Everything
Nicely appointed, friendly staff
Attention to room servicing was a little poor. No soap in room despite asking. Bathmat and tea towels and replenishment tea and milk sachets was neglected. Had to go and ask each time.
Large room with kitchen and a great location
It was a fab old building and the room was decorated accordingly. Location great.
Room service was slack, no body wash on arrival, never replenished milk for coffee, really slack.
The WiFi was non existent, you either had it or you didn't and we didn't.
The repeat issues split what was a potentially awesome place.
The beds were very comfy. Friendly staff. Location was excellent
No fans
Beautiful old hotel! Great location.
Liked that there was a washing machine & dryer!
Location and room size
one friendly staff member tried to help with many issues
my door was left open several times by housekeeping which is spooky to come back to late at night after a long day and worrying because i had laptop and ipad in the room. The snacks and bathroom supplies were rarely refreshed and in a 12 night stay there were no snacks after day 4. The washing machine did not work. The kitchen was not cleaned very well either. wifi barely worked and ended up going to the library or tethering to phone as it was so patchy
Days gone by style. Hallways. Centre of town. Carpet. Bed unreal. Taps in shower a bit out there. Easy entry to hotel and room after hours. Bloody close to everything wish I could afford another night. But will come back end of year. A great place to stay .
Taps in shower. Tv control abit hard to work out or could just be me.
