Lovely Stay At The Leonidas Hotel And Apartments And Highly Reccomend
Pros:

My wife and I stayed in the brand new block that they have just recently added, in fact we were the very first guests to stay there on the 17/05/2026 we stayed in room 213 and everything was immaculate and brand new as was the full block, the hotel/ apartments are only 3 mins from the beach and 1/2 mins from a supermarket and restaurants/bars, everything really is on your doorstep and it is in a perfect location for exploring Rethymno, the hotel/apartments are a family run business and it shows as nothing is too much to trouble for them and they treat you like one of their own.

Cons:

We didn’t like leaving and are most definitely going to go back

Pros:

C'est le meilleur logement auquel nous sommes allés en Crète. Nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit mais nous aurions voulu rester plus longtemps, la chambre était très propre et fonctionnelle. L'hôtel est un peu excentré mais dans une petite rue qui rejoint directement à la plage. Le personnel est adorable.

We would absolutely stay at Leonidas Hotel on our next visit to this beautiful city.
Pros:

It is a sweet family run business. The staff is sincerely interested in your comfort and well being. Located in a great location for walking into the old town, it’s also enjoyable to hang out at the pool or visit the beach.

Cons:

Loved everything!

Amazing value for money
Pros:

Fantastic location and value for money. Place was spotless. Staff were welcoming. Wi-Fi worked a dream, from the top floor to the pool area. Lots of sunbeds. Rooms cleaned daily and towels and sheets changed every couple days.

Cons:

Breakfast could be better. We came down half an hour before it finished and some items weren't replenished. Beds were rock hard and pillows too soft but that is just personal preference.

Pros:

Emplacement super, personnel adorable à tous les services. Propreté 👌

Cons:

Nous avons passé un super séjour attention juste aux personnes avec des soucis de mobilité, il y a un ascenseur mais des marches doivent quand même être franchies pour y accéder. Ceci dit ma mère avec sa canne a pu accéder sans trop de difficultés

Our stay at the Leonidas Hotel had comforts like home.
Pros:

Perfect location to walk into the center and be along the sea and wonderful owners who made the stay comfortable and a small kitchen ideal for family.

Cons:

It was a little difficult to find parking and see the view of the sea from being located inside a small street.

A friendly place to stay a stone throw from the beach and a short walk to the old town.
Pros:

Staff were very friendly. If the room was missing anything we could ask for it and they would help.
The room we stayed in was big and had two balconies.
Room service was very respectful of our privacy.
Great location, 20 minute walk to the center of the old town and 2 minutes from the beach.

Cons:

I didn't like that the kitchenette was not stocked with dishwashing liquid, so we had to buy our own bottle.
I did ask reception for some but they explained that was not something that they provided so I guess they expect guests to bring their own.
It didn't cost much at the local store so it's not a big issue.
