La posizione centralissima, la signora che ci ha accolte, l'appartamento delizioso, la colazione in una pasticceria davvero buonissima, e soprattutto la meraviglia di trovare degli ACCAPPATOI che non si trovano più nelle strutture

Pros:

L'host Cristina è una persona estremamente accogliente, molto preparata e davvero tanto ospitale. La struttura è elegante e pulita. Facile da raggiungere a piedi se come noi si arriva in treno. Tutto a portata di mano. Raccomando tantissimo questa struttura anche per un piacevole weekend a Mantova.

L'allotjament et dona uns tickets per fer un esmorzar consistent en cafe o te + croasant + suc d'ampolla. Està molt correcte.
un tracte molt correcte i proper per part de la Cristina. Vam poder deixar l'equipatge fins a la tarda del darrer dia i fins i tot ens va deixaer les claus per anar a buscar-lo per si ella no hi era. Molt d'agrair.

Fascinating town, great location, nice rooms and hostess
Pros:

Our lodgings were a lovely big ground-floor suite with a comfortable queen-sized bed, entry area, bathroom, laundry, and kitchenette. In the June 2026 heatwave, having A/C was a lifesaver! We were given the option of a room with a washing machine, which was a huge help after a week of travel, and the outside laundry rack did a fine job of drying our wash, Italian-style. Our location was perfect, as well, half a block from the main piazza of the center of the old town, and across the street from a nice fish restaurant. Our hostess met us in person and was helpful, marking up a map of Mantova with all the best places to eat and things to see. Her suggestions all worked out -- the food at Osteria del Oca and Osteria dei Ranieri was wonderful and the places to visit all very interesting. The center is full of wonderful porticoes, and the big Parco Virgilio is lovely, with a nice playground. We loved the Palazzo Te, the amazing frescoes of the Duomo, and the thought-provoking, cool, Museo di Virgilio -- I am already a huge Vergil fan and my husband and our friend from France are now convinced he deserves a read. Mantova has many fine bookstores for good shopping, as well as everything else you might like to buy. We were fortunate enough to catch the lady who keeps the gorgeous little Synagogue before she locked up, and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Theatro Bandini. Give the Palazzo Ducale the go-by, however, or just see the Camera dei Sposi and then high-tail it out of there. It has SO MANY ROOMS......

Cons:

Our lodgings had no city views at all, being entirely "landlocked" with windows and doors onto interior airwells and courtyards, but this was actually a plus when the big summer rock concert was going in the nearby piazza (which ended at 23:00 in any case), and we had no street noise at all. Word to the wise who arrive by train and walk to these lodgings (and blame this on Google Maps, not our hostess): we should have taken a less-direct but shadier and smoother walk from the train station to the lodgings along Via Bonomi and Corso Vittorio Emmanuele II, thus avoiding the rough pebble pavements and lack of shade of Via Solferino and what followed.
