Exceptional hotel with great rooms and service.
Pros:

We spent 4 nights at the Grand. The staff was exceptional. The room was very comfortable and the bath and shower were a delight. Breakfast was.included with the room rate and offered a wide variety of selections. It is conveniently located near the city center. It made our stay a a wonderful experience.

Cons:

It is not cheap. But you certainly get what you pay for.. We look forward to returning some day..

First time not the last
Pros:

Everyone very welcoming and friendly from the moment you approach the hotel, excellent reception staff and wonderful spa experience, the room was amazing and worth what I paid, very comfortable spacious and quite, great bathroom facilities with heated floors rainfall shower and huge bath, I will be staying again.

There wasn't 1 thing I could fault

A fabulous stay at The Grand in York—it's called The Grand for a reason! The hotel is lovely, and this was my second visit. I’ll definitely be back for a third, all going well.

The Grand in York is the perfect hotel for a lovely stay in York
Pros:

The Grand in York is a beautiful, historic hotel in an excellent location within walking to the city's sights and restaurants. It is also very close to the railway station,. Our corner room was large and light-filled with views of the charming city. Breakfasts were substantial and hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Dinner at the hotel's Legacy restaurant was very special.

Pros:

Beautiful building have always wanted to stay here and once I moved out of York knew I had to book it. Didn’t disappoint! Super comfortable beds, amazing robes and service is exceptional.

We also dined at the spa restaurant and it was lovely, generous portions & katsu chicken was great.

The location is perfect for a weekend exploring the city!

Loved it, 10/10!
Pros:

It seems to have been put into a former fire station. Very convenient to train station & Shambles. Food on site was reasonably-priced and delicious! Bathrooms were lovely too!

Cons:

Liked everything except the noisy drunk guests but the staff was happy to let me take the rest of my meal to my room
