Immer noch besonders
Pros:

Das Hotel ist und bleibt ein besonderes Erlebnis in Gambia, auch wenn inzwischen einige Resorts entstanden sind, die moderner, schicker und komfortabler sind.
Doch die Atmosphäre und insbesondere das SPA sind unschlagbar- auch wenn der schöne Pool im Spa momentan geschlossen ist. Auch die Küche ist ausgezeichnet, wenngleich die Auswahl beim Frühstück eher bescheiden ist.
Es gibt jetzt auch ein Thai Restaurant inklusive thailändischem Koch, das echtes Bangkok Feeling vermittelt.
Das Personal ist sehr engagiert, manchmal etwas drüber, aber besser als umgekehrt.

Cons:

Der Zahn der Zeit nagt unübersehbar an allen Ecken und Kanten, und die Zimmer sind inzwischen doch etwas outdated. Man wird sich was überlegen müssen wenn man mit den modernen 5 Sterne Resorts mithalten will.

Alles!!! Sehr freundliches, aufmerksames Personal, sehr schöne Anlage und angenehme Ruhe.

Cons:

Cons:

The entrance door and the key need to be made more secure
The window blinds do not cover the windows adequately and light penetrates inside the room as if you have not switched off the lights in the room when you want to sleep. There is the possibility of outsider seen you in the room

All in all 50/50 too hit and miss for the price and exceptions are definitely not met

Cons:

Room was not clean the first night. Dust, food and drink marks on the night stands, window left open in the bathroom so full of mosquitos. We checked in after 9pm and went for a drink and when we finally realised that the room was not clean we were too tired to let anyone know. We told housekeeping in the morning and the second day it was cleaned and how it should have been from day one. We also had a huge discussion when ordering drinks at the beach bar and first the wrong drink was served which I accepted and happily paid for but then we got over charged in another and when I mentioned it I was told in a really patronising tone to just pay whatever I want so I can go hang around the beach and sleep all day. We were supposed to come back that week for family lunches, but after that we decided not too. Used the spa facilities and the ladies in there were fabulous, helpful, friendly and loved the massage.

Cons:

I forgot my Qcell mifi router in room 74 since Tuesday and it is still yet to be found. I expected a better turnaround and some of the staff have been rude during this stage
