Our room 212 was on the second floor and overlooked a busy road which made it too noisy with the window open. There was also a constant annoying hum from the bathroom.
The room had a small window which made it dark in the day time. Lighting was inadequate and room was still dinghy with the lights on.
Although it was a double room there was only one easy chair which was very uncomfortable.
The stool for the dressing table area was very low. When I sat on it I was so low that I couldn’t see myself in the mirror
Paper tissues were not provided neither was a shower cap which was needed to prevent wetting my hair because the shower was a rainfall.
The food was very good, however it was not hot enough, Coffee was poured early, and by the time you got your food from the self service this also was not hot enough,
The Room was small ,not much wardrobe space, the sink unit had a crack in the basin , no bars to assist you when taking a shower, and no where to put your shampoo or shower lotion when showering, we were older clients and we thought that there was no aids or extra help for us. the bed was comfortable and all the other facilities worked fine, we did have a staircase to climb with our luggage. which was quite a difficult task.
Beautiful hotel and grounds
Our room smell of sewage as the time went on it got worse
Initially served cold tea and coffee from a portable flask at breakfast which was replaced by fresh
No complaints
The rooms in the old part of the hotel are poor, unclean, shower wouldn't ever run hot, toilet didn't flush properly, very limited bathroom soaps, gels etc supplied. Room was small, bed was a small single (as advertised) and moved whenever I was on it. The duvet was very thick and overly warm making it very uncomfortable in the night. Also very expensive £218 for two nights was not good value for money
Food was a bit spenny
Location, design and style
Slightly starting to show its age mainly in bathroom but really nit picking here
Fabulous food, beautiful and comfortable rooms. Staff super friendly and helpful
I have visited 3 times now and unfortunately found this visit quite different to my first 2 where I fell in love with the hotel. I booked 2 Wildes suites and the bed is now just a standard double, it used to be bigger which is what is expected from a suite. There is no longer a turn down service either which was always a nice touch. I also was told there was no al a carte menus for breakfast after my first night, I was so looking forward to the Eggs Benedict I had enjoyed on previous stays. However, the following morning, I saw another table choosing off of it after the second night so felt disappointed that it could’ve been an option for me. I brought my friends to the hotel for the first time and they didn’t have the robes in their suite that they should have- this is a nice touch which led to me choosing the suites- along with the bigger bed so was disappointed.
We did not book a breakfast. Room only.
We enjoyed our overall stay and celebrated the wedding of a close friends son.
Nothing
Very dark throughout the corridors and room
Broken shutters in room
Suite very poor
Beautiful property. Comfortable beds. Great staff.
Slow breakfast service, we waited 30 minutes for tea and coffee and had to ask 3 times. Parts of the bedrooms are becoming run down.
Comfortable rooms and beds. Friendly staff. Great location.
The gym is slightly dirty and in a dingy.
The breakfast used to be better. It's declined in the last year.
Really good communal areas; restaurant and bars
Noisy from the nightclub, noisy from corridor (the walls are paper thin so you hear people walking down the corridor, open and closing doors, talking). The 24hr bar means this happens all night, slept for less that a couple of hours.
Breakfast organisation was also poor, constantly running out of food, big queues for a buffet breakfast
