Best 5* hotel have stayed at yet! Offered very personalized service who went the extra mile - gave us lovely sweet surprises one of them being the best cheesecake, super super efficient staff! One of the best breakfasts also! Can not recommend this hotel highly enough!

Our stay at Moeesy Blue & Green was a really enjoyable part of our Croatian holiday. The hotel has a relaxed boutique feel and, more importantly, a team of genuinely warm and welcoming people who clearly care about their guests.

From the moment we arrived, we appreciated the thoughtful touches that make travelling easier, including complimentary luggage collection and return from the ferry port, free coffee available throughout the day, chilled drinking water stations and easy access to fresh pool towels. These small details make a big difference.

The breakfast buffet was exceptional, with an extensive selection of fresh, high-quality food and one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had. The gym & spa was also outstanding, and the massage was among the best I’ve experienced.

A special thank you goes to the housekeeping & reception teams. They were some of the friendliest people we met during our stay and, after we’d checked out, they realised I’d left clothes in a drawer and rushed down to return them before we departed. That level of care deserves recognition.

The location is another highlight. It’s about a 15-minute waterfront stroll into Hvar Town, which turned out to be the perfect distance. Close enough to enjoy the restaurants and bars, yet far enough away to feel peaceful. The walk itself became part of the experience each evening.

There are, however, a few areas where I think the experience could be even better.

Check-in was warm and informative, but at this price point I would have expected to be personally shown to our room (not just the hotel tour).

The rooms are well presented but compact, and the bathrooms could benefit from more bench space and storage for everyday toiletries. The balconies are lovely places to sit, although there is very little privacy between neighbouring rooms.

The biggest opportunity is around the pool experience. The setting is beautiful, but the service wasn’t always consistent. Some days menus were offered proactively and service was attentive, while on other days it was difficult to get someone’s attention or order food and drinks.
Daily bills could be finalised more effectively.

The pool menu could also be expanded to better match the quality found throughout the rest of the hotel.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The staff are the hotel’s greatest asset, and they create an atmosphere that is genuinely welcoming and memorable.

My only reservation is around value. As room rates continue to increase, I think there are a few aspects of the guest experience that should evolve alongside the pricing.

I also think the bathrooms need some additional storage space. It had one of the worst bathrooms I’ve seen in a hotel at this level. I can easily be fixed with a storage cabinet mirror or some shelves.

With some relatively small refinements, Moeesy has all the ingredients to be one of the very best boutique hotels on Hvar.

The staff were simply priceless, and super helpful in every way! Special kudos to Kristina, Nikola, Drazan, Sara, Alma, Marina, Liliana, Sanda, Adrian, Dino, Andiela, … I’m missing a couple other names here (sorry 🙈)!

The room cleanliness and frequency of amenities replacement was great; the food and cocktails were on point; the view was just as breathtaking as what is displayed on the website - if not more; the ambience and general vibe was soothing yet still filled with character - just what a holiday should be like; the Spa treatments were simply dreamy; and the level of expert guidance and organisation of the tours and excursions was most appreciated!

The building dates back to 1929 and, after a full renovation, reopened as Moeesy in 2022, surrounded by lush Mediterranean gardens and just steps from the water. The setting alone would have been worth the stay: cascading pools tumble across the terraced grounds with an open view out to the Adriatic that is jaw-dropping. But what truly stood out, beyond the beautiful grounds, was the staff. From the reception team to the breakfast crew to the housekeeping team, everyone made us feel genuinely looked after. It's rare to find a hotel that has everything you need and more from a luxury standpoint, but that still delivers service that goes above and beyond. The devil is in the details: after we booked a boat tour for the day, just before we departed, the front desk had prepared a "go bag" with towels and water to make sure we had everything we needed for the journey.

The rooms were modern. We had a sea-facing room with a balcony on the first floor, the bathroom had a minimal, sleek design, the beds were perfectly firm, and it was silent at night, allowing for perfect sleep. Breakfast service was phenomenal, and I looked forward to it every day. There are beverage stations, water stations, and towels, so everything you need is at your fingertips. For the fitness-conscious, the gym did not disappoint: fully equipped with Technogym equipment, clean and modern, with a designer gym vibe. There are two main pools: a cascading infinity pool perfect for lounging with poolside service, and a covered pool. The property opens up directly to the Adriatic Sea. While Croatia has no private beaches, there are beach clubs within a 3 minute walk from the hotel, and of course taking a day trip to the various beach clubs is also an option. Geographically, the property is perfectly situated about 10-15 minutes from the center of town, far enough from the hustle and bustle to allow for a calm, restful environment.

I would be remiss not to mention Kristina, the property's fabulous concierge, who was kind, welcoming, and endlessly supportive throughout our stay. Since we had booked this trip last minute, the hotel had only one small room left on the entire property, and while we were still finishing up in Hungary, Kristina worked day by day to track down a better room for us, sparing us from having to move mid-trip. She also lined up excellent restaurant recommendations, arranged a boat trip, and handled reservations for everything we needed. We felt truly at home here and would, without question, come back.

The pricing of the rooms matches the level of service and experience the hotel delivers at every level.

Ela entendeu exatamente o que eu queria e me entregou muito mais do que eu esperava em qualidade de passeios. É um hotel que presta atenção aos minimos detalhes, desde a recepção na chegada do ferry até o dia da saída, e eu sou uma pessoa bastante chata e exigente. Tiveram até o cuidado de me ligar para avisar que o ferry estava atrasado, depois que eu já tinha feito o checkout.

Amazing stay with our family of 4 including (two teenage daughters). We had a 2 bedroom suite with a big balcony overlooking the sea and pool. Beautiful grounds - very peaceful and quiet. Amazing views everywhere. Room looked brand new - very tastefully decorated. The pool area is awesome - spa-like experience. The sea is just a short walk down some stairs and the hotel has an arrangement with the beach in front to get free daybeds on the rocks. The water is some of the most amazing have seen anywhere in the world - crystal clear with bright shades of blue and green. Breakfast buffet each morning was delicious - anything you could ask for to eat. The omelets and eggs cooked to perfection. But the most amazing thing about this hotel is the staff - everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We were always greeted with smiles and willingness to help with anything we needed. I had mentioned it was my wife's birthday when we booked the reservation and they went out of their way to provide a big balloon arrangement, bottle of wine and chocolates our last night to celebrate. We have traveled around the world a bit and stayed at all types of hotels (Hampton Inn to Montage) - but this was probably the best hotel experience we've ever had. Don't hesitate to book if you are considering. This is a special place.

I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else! Location is perfect, accessible to everything without all the noise. Peaceful & luxurious! The food and all amenities were amazing. The staff went above and beyond with every question or request I had, especially Kristina! I can’t wait to go back and highly recommend staying here.

You don’t get the noise and distractions from the promenade or main areas because it’s so well protected and I highly recommend staying here for your

I LOVED my stay at hotel moeesy . From the service, to the rooms, to the food and the location (tucked away gem next to the ocean), I would recommend this fabulous hotel to anyone and everyone! I went with three of the girlfriends and we were treated like queens. Went from pool to ocean to pool to ocean all day long and had the most relaxing time. Honestly 10/10, everything was perfect. You cannot do better than the Hotel Moeesy in Hvar. It truly is an Oasis that makes a stay in Hvar magical. It is a very short (and lovely) walk to the main square and harbor, but away from the crowds. The rooms are very comfortable and the shower was so nice I want to take it home. The breakfasts are exceptional with a wide array of options — all of which are very tasty (best of any hotel I’ve stayed in). The stay was made special by the many “little things” that add up to making a stay great. This included free (good) coffee throughout the day (hot, cold, caf, decaf); communicating with them ahead of time to line up taxi from airport to the port, and then meeting us for baggage at Hvar; to — on departure — taking our bags such that we were literally first in line to get on the ferry back to Split. So, as great as the hotel was and is — what makes the hotel special was the people who were consistently thoughtful, considerate and helped personalize our trip. For my husband and I on our honeymoon this included surprising us with a fabulous dessert, drinks and free massage. Among the people who exemplified this great service were Kristina, Mia and Draven — thanks to each of them and all the others!!!!!

This hotel was impeccable. We did a few nights for our honeymoon in Hvar and everything about this hotel was excellent. From the food (we had a lunch and breakfasts here) to the concierge booking us sun beds at “sold out venues” and the logistics of getting luggage to and from the port- we felt so taken care of. It is located a short 15 minute walk to Hvar along the water and also located near an amazing local restaurant (Primi Piatti) and local grocery store. The pools are so relaxing and the drink/food service was memorable with a personal touch. Highly recommend for a quiet escape with sweeping views close to everything!
