With arrival 1 lift not working within 15min a person was trapped in the other lift, had to use the stairs for 7 floors up., Almost waited 5min in the shower for lukewarmwater, in the morning only lukewarm water.
Apartment front slidingdoor not working, dated appliances, old 3 way plugs at bed only 2 point plug in kitchen to charge phones. general feeling of heavy used property without the proper maintanance
I am extremely dissapointed with the service we received at the Residences Crystal Towers. We made a booking via booking.com to stay at the in an apartment at the Residences Crystal Towers. The day before our booking i received an email saying that the room we had booked into had a maintenance issue and we were being moved to another apartment block On Park. I immediately replied to the email asking about the new property to see if we would be happy with it. I got no reply. On arrival at the Residences for check in we expressed our dissapointment at being moved and asked to view the property first before we check in. The assistant behind the desk - Mikayla, was extremely rude. Her tone and manner towards us were both disrespectful and completely unapologetic about the situation. She then told me that I had made a booking at On Park and not the Residences. She argued with me about this which I found unbelievable. When I showed her my original booking confirmation for The Residences, she did not even apologise for her mistake and for arguing with me.
I find this completely unacceptable. Her behaviour was both disrespectful and unprofessional.
Mikayla’s collegue, Matthew then took us to view the apartment at On Park. This apartment was not suitable for us. It was not on par with the original apartment we had booked. The Residences at Crystal towers was advertised as a ‘luxury’ apartment, which the On Park apartment obviously is not. We decided not to stay at On Park for comfort and safety reasons. We then needed to find alternative accommodation at the last minute which was not easy due to the marathon weekend in Cape Town. All of the other apartments associated with the Crystal Towers were full.
We are very dissapointed and upset with this situation:

Atmosphere is very good, friendly staff and safe place in a walking distance to the mall. Beautiful indeed.
The carpet needs attention, the shower door not closing properly, we asked for blankets but didn't get and it was cold, oven tray also was not in and we did ask for it but never brought. As a self-catering we expected this to be there and we wanted to use it.
It wasn’t clean and there was a unpleasant smell in the room. Like a dog was in there. Carpets were not clean and broken and the bed side lamps were not working (both). Shower had an unpleasant smell because of the drain.
