4th floor Castle view room, veranda porch overlooked main windsor cobblestone street. Walk everywhere; town shops, Castle, Long walk park, & Eton bridge river area. Close to train station, but we Uber from LHR. Comfy beds, quiet nite, great shower, full buffet breakfast with mass selection! Luggage storage after checkout.
Taxi drop is back cul-de-sac (we had too many bags to use train & no drop at front of hotel) but no bell ring to front desk to access hotel until you get room key. I waited with luggage while hubby walked down alley & up shopping street to access front of building & hotel reception, who then accompanied him down to open back door. Overall great experience!

The location was excellent for our visit to the Castle! The room was comfortable and well kept
The breakfast was really limited for vegan choices! Mushrooms and baked beans are not a varied selection and hash browns are not vegan (they are vegetarian). Also a lack of choice for those who don't eat pork products
no breakfast included in my booking, but I stay often and it is wonderful.
I was upgraded, and stayed in The Pearl - totally magic room, thank you!

Great stay at this hotel, location outstanding, staff were very helpful and professional, will go back for definate.
They ciuld have tried to do the beds properly after our first nights stay as it was when it arrived, also replenishing the coffee & milk in the rooms, people may think this is picky, however other hotels I've stayed in do this with pride, appart from the aforementioned it was a great hotel to stay at...!!

The double beds (which are really large singles) are uncomfortable for two tallish people. I understand what you have tried to do within your refurb limitations BUT you could still increase some of the double bed sizes. Good showers, but not enough support rails! Toilets are far too low. OK for shorter people, but the lowest I have ever seen. The hand basin is also low, although not so much of a problem.
Love to stay at the McDonald’s it is right in the heart of Windsor, a stones throw away from the castle. We had a brilliant breakfast , all the stuff are lovely from the guy in the car park to girls on reception would definitely use the McDonald’s again.
