Hyatt Place Pittsburgh North Shore

If you can, stay somewhere else. The room was barely passable as clean, I lived out of my suitcase for the 4 days we were there. I did not want to put anything in the drawers. The bathroom wasn't very clean either, all metal surfaces looked like they were rusty. The blanket for the sofa bed looked like someone's dog chewed a hole in it. The room smelled musty / stale as well.
The hotel breakfast was gross, the eggs were cold and disgusting. The baked goods were dry / stale. I avoided it after the first day of our stay.

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. I liked the room layout with the couch. The bed was very comfortable and I slept soundly, which isn't typical for me in a hotel.

Location was super convenient, the room was comfortable and very clean. We loved the breakfast!! We also loved the comfy chairs outside by the fire pit.

Size and cleanliness of the room, pretty good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, convenience of location to the Pirates stadium. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Location is great for football vans that don't like semi-luxury accommodations. Upon check in the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was dirty the couch had some type of white spot on it. The floor was dirty with spots and debris. A long piece of hair was on the bathroom floor. There was some type of dried stain on the back of the bathtub. The room had a smell, and to top it all the maintenance people knock on the door to fix the ceiling tiles upon us checking in. This was my first time in Pittsburgh, and I couldn't believe the condition of the room in this hotel. It's in bad need of some upgrades. I have stayed in much nicer 3-star hotels. I checked out within an hour of getting there.

Hyatt Place at North Shore is shockingly unclean for the Hyatt brand. We had to request a room change because the side table was filthy. There is no daily housekeeping. You need to request for HK at the front desk. The housekeeping staff are stretched and will only change the sheets. No cleaning of restrooms or even the sink. The front lobby and elevators are also dirty. We stayed here for 5 days and it was a disappointing experience. Bring your own cleaners! The hotel does not have a restaurant and a muffin at the front desk sells for $5.

Went for PITT Graduation. Location was great easy to get to if it wasn’t for the city closures but the front desk helped us navigate. The front desk staff was amazing and helpful. Breakfast was fine, but I am not a huge Breakfast person anyway. Lobby was decent size and I appreciated the extra safety they had inside the main floor. I was there for 4 day, and appreciated how close we were to the stadiums, marathon and the rest of the north shore excitement this weekend. There was a lot going on yet the hotel was quiet and good for sleep.
The room is the only area I would deduct a star. My bed was very comfortable and clean, but the shower was less to be desired. There was hair on multiple wall tiles the first day I got in. (& it was not mine). There was definitely mold in the corners and the grout was turning pink. Housekeeping never came in the entire time I was there even to empty the pails. I had to go to them in the hallway to change my towels or get more toilet tissue.
I probably should have said something but for the time I was stating there I just didn’t think it was worth it. i would stay again but hopefully the next time I stay the rooms are a little bit cleaner.

It was a great location for marathon weekend
