An absolutely unforgettable stay at Hotel Metropole Taormina. Everything about this hotel is exceptional—the location, the elegance, the breathtaking views—but what truly made my experience so special was the extraordinary warmth and attention of the people who work there.
A very special thank you to the wonderful reception team: Amelia, Irene and Lucia, who made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout my stay. Their professionalism, kindness, elegance and attention to every little detail made all the difference. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and I was always treated with such warmth and consideration.
I also want to thank the gentleman at reception who was equally wonderful—I Salvatore , i cannot forget his kindness and excellent service.
And then there is Grazia at the restaurant, who deserves a very special mention. What a wonderful person! Her warmth and genuine kindness added something truly personal to the experience and made every morning even more enjoyable.
Breakfast at the Metropole is simply magical: delicious food, impeccable service and what must be one of the most beautiful breakfast views in the world, overlooking the spectacular Gulf of Taormina. Sitting there in the morning, enjoying breakfast with that extraordinary panorama, is an experience I will never forget.
I loved everything about my stay, but above all, I loved the way I was treated. True luxury is not only a beautiful property or an incredible view—it is how a place makes you feel. The team at Hotel Metropole made me feel special, welcomed and completely at home.

この10年で4回目、昨年に引き続きの訪問で、タオルミナでは私の大のお気に入りのホテルです。とにかくタオルミナでは最も便利な場所に位置すると言えます。また、インフィニティプールから眼科のタオルミナの海に浮かぶヨットや客船、遠方の街の景色を眺めていると、「ああ、リゾートに来たな」感がとても味わえます。イタリア屈指のリゾートであるタオルミナを満喫しながら、心身ともにリラックスできます。
昨年と比べると、少しシステムや内装が変わっていました。2025年8月までは、朝食会場がオープンテラスで虫が飛び交っていたのが、今年はガラス扉ができ冷房が効いていて大変驚きました。また、あの重い部屋の鍵がスマートになっていたり、朝食がバイキング形式でなくなっていたりとです。2024年に経営母体が変わったせいか、益々よくなっていました。
従業員の方はとてもフランクで親切ですし、清掃の方々も優しく丁寧で、申し分ないと思います。タオルミナには、ティメオなどさらに上のランクもホテルもありますが、私はこのこじまりとして落ち着いた雰囲気の大人っぽいホテル、メトロポールがとても好きです。
ぜひ修理して欲しいのは、部屋の中からかける鍵がかからないことです。いつも感じていたのですが、今年宿泊した部屋は完全に鍵がかからない状態でした。セキュリティーに不安があるわけではないのですが、内側からかかる鍵があるのに、回すとひっかかって鍵が機能しないのでは、鍵がある意味がないですよ。早急に対応して頂きたい問題です。
シチリアのホテルに多いのですが、あのヘアドライヤーは変えて欲しいと思います。先ずコードが短く可動性が悪いです。また風を出すボタンを放すと風が出なくなるのも面倒です。今どき、もっと軽くてイオンが出るなど性能がいいドライヤーは幾らでもあるのではないでしょうか。
また、ユーロに対して191円という、とんでもない円安下での旅行だったこともありますが、部屋の広さを考えれば、宿泊費はもう少し安い設定でお願いしたいのが本音です。
