Excellent service all round from the golf to the tennis to the spa to our drinks order at breakfast that our waitress remembered each day. The food is excellent in La Cave, the seafood restaurant and the George where we ate lunch each day before 18 holes of glorious golf.
Thank you team Mazagan
This is my third visit to the Mazagan Resort, though the first for at least 10 years. I wanted to re-experience the wonderful location and service. Because Morocco can be extremely hot at certain times of the year I elected to visit in March, and whilst the weather was split between springlike and rainy, I was happy with my strategy. The hotel was very quiet other than at the buffet dinner, and that was just perfect for my preferences.
At the time of booking and again 24 hours before my arrival, I was very impressed to receive a phone call from the resort to go through my details and expectations and ensure that any requests were correctly understood. This created a hugely favourable and very positive impression and this reviewer appreciated this.
The hotel is located close to El Jadida, which is about 70 miles from Casablanca airport and it provides six complimentary shuttles each way every day. For anyone preferring greater flexibility and privacy, cars of various styles can be booked on an ad hoc basis. I booked the shuttle however, as I was the only incoming guest on my late evening flight, the hotel actually sent a very comfortable limousine.
I was greeted warmly on arrival at reception and swiftly checked in. As it was approaching midnight the hotel was very quiet indeed. Reception staff were polite and courteous and very welcoming. The only thing that could have been improved would have been to give me details of breakfast times and the location. The hotel is of an impressively large and traditional Moroccan design and as such can be a little disorientating , though signage is good. I was extended the courtesy of being escorted to my room, which simplified things tremendously. I booked a Prime Ocean View Room, which was superbly located very close to the beach and sea. It was delightful to leave open the floor to ceiling doors of the Juliette balcony as this allowed the delightfully fresh air to enter and the sound of crashing waves to provide the perfect background to my slumber. On previous visits, I selected the partial ocean view option, and those rooms did provide a surprising and pleasantly clear view of the sea and its sounds.
Room 2162 was of a respectable size and furnished to a very high standard. The floors were wooden and the entire ambiance was bright and modern. There was a large king plus sized bed and a massive wall mounted flat screen TV. There was a table with two chairs in the room, plus a very large easy chair with a side table. There was a significant amount of storage space together with a safe. The bathroom was more than adequate with a deep, soaking tub and a separate high-quality shower cubicle. There were ample fluffy white towels, together with a bathrobe and slippers. Possibly a soap dispenser at the sink area would be of benefit.
Housekeeping was performed very discreetly every day, and the room was immaculately, clean and well maintained. Things were coordinated by Saida, who was exceptionally warm and friendly. There were no issues during my five night stay and any do not disturb sign in place was well respected. Two bottles of drinking water were provided every day, though it might be an idea to consider ways to allow guests to refill their own containers at a central point so as to drastically reduce the use of plastic.
Breakfast was taken in the Olives restaurant and was a buffet affair. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and whilst it was self service, staff definitely went the extra mile in carrying plates and replenishing drinks, and generally making me feel welcome. There was an excellent range of food items and everything was very fresh. The freshly squeezed orange juice was an absolute delight and something that I was eagerly anticipating.
There are several restaurants in the resort however, due to the low season, this was restricted to a buffet in Olives and food in the seafood restaurant. Olives was quite busy in the early evening and the staff were again very welcoming. The only minor glitch was that whilst I was selecting my first course from the extensive buffet and purposely leaving my glasses case on the table, another guest was seated in my absence and my glasses were removed. The staff were very apologetic and went out of their way to seat me at a suitable alternative table. The buffet was at a fixed price per person and, quite unexpectedly, this also included fresh juice and water. During the evening there was live entertainment in the heated annex to the restaurant.
I was extremely impressed by the level of support extended to me by the concierge, Mohammed, in dealing with the stress of the airline losing my bag. He proactively contacted them to have my bag located and then booked me onto an airport shuttle to go and collect them as the airline refused to deliver. Because I was the only guest both ways on the shuttle, this was again upgraded to a limousine. This reviewer felt that this act went over and beyond the call of duty and clearly evidenced the commitment of the Mazagan Team to providing guest excellence.
There is a spa in the hotel and also different activities that can be booked, including horseriding. I have used the horse riding facility a couple of times in the past and taking this on the miles of beach has been a definite highlight of those visits.
All public areas of the resort were well maintained and immaculately presented, and this included several high-quality shops and a casino. The latter was maintained to a very high standard, with well groomed and very polite security personnel, and with facilities that can be compared favourably with casinos in Las Vegas, and the South of France.
Room service dinner was taken on three evenings, and a very extensive menu was available. Jalela took my order and was incredibly friendly and kind, as was Yousef, who delivered my order. The food was attractively laid out on a portable table, and the food was plentiful and quite delicious. I personally preferred the room service dining experience to the buffet.
Overall, my visit to Mazagan has been an absolute delight, and I found all staff to be most helpful and very pleasant. This is most definitely a venue that I can recommend to my client base.
My kids love the place , thanks so much
We had a lovely weekend here. The room was spacious and comfortable and the ocean view was fantastic
Beautiful resort with plenty of activities. You will never get bored here.
A wonderful place to discount and enjoy the nature.
We enjoyed our week end
Our tour company Odynovo arranged the hotel. We had wanted to se the cistern in EL Jadida, but unfortunately were not informed by the local ground agent that it had been closed for renovations for 4 1/2 years. The hotel mitigated our disappointments somewhat. We were guests of the hotel for 1 night.
The grounds of the hotel are magnificent. Impeccable landscaping and maintenance.
The hotel itself is stunning. I can only imagine the cost of building it. Only the best of the best finishes have been used.
The front desk was extremely helpful and efficient. The bellmen and front door were always at the ready.
Our room was a large garden view. It was nicely furnished, had expansive windows and full light, and a good sized TV. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained.
We were tired on arrival and didn't have the staying power eat in the restaurants, opting for our own stock of granola bars in the room. We did have a couple of drinks in the bar. Service was very slow considering we were he only ones in the bar. The cocktails were a little watery and the french fries . . . were those french fries??? The Moroccan wines were excellent, as had been our experience.
Breakfast was in a huge room with a vast selection of choices for every taste, with an abundance of well prepared food. But this is a large hotel and there was at least one convention there. The result was many people jostling for access to the buffet, lots of bumping, and sometimes aggressive men pushing in front of the line.
There was a large number of staff clearing and sometimes hovering. My plate was removed a couple of times before I'd finished. Can wait staff please ask before laying hands on a plate and whisking it away. But there was attention paid to refilling the food stations.
We didn't avail of ourselves of the pool or other amenities. The wind was absolutely hurricane like, making sitting outdoors impossible. Indeed, when we walked through the corridors you could hear it.
One thing to note. The guests at the hotel when we were there were a well heeled bunch. Men in sports jackets and suits and women beautifully turned out. This is not a casual sweat shirt and jeans crowds. If you're considering staying there, be sure to have some more dressed up clothing for dining in the upscale restaurants in the evening.
We’ve just returned from a fabulous 8 days at Mazagan. This was our first trip and we were not really sure what to expect - we were just looking for decent weather and with a good golf course. Mazagan delivered on so many fronts! The weather was sunny with blue skies all week, although it was quite windy on some days and I definitely didn’t pack enough jumpers! My husband and son (10) loved the golf course and played every day - it’s in super condition and the staff at the club are superb.
I was really impressed with the quality of the food in all of the restaurants - we ate in all of them and had excellent food and service. We particularly loved the seafood restaurant - thank you to Meriam for looking after us!
Our room was lovely and we appreciated the twice daily servicing.
In terms of other facilities- it was too cold to go in the unheated pool and sadly there is no indoor pool or hot tub.
I used the tennis courts 3 times with the very nice coach, Emin. He made the sessions super enjoyable.
Good gym, once again with very nice staff.
Excellent spa treatment - I was just a tiny bit disappointed that there wasn’t a hot tub or indoor pool where you could relax or read a book.
Overall, this was a wonderful stay and we will look to return. What sets this place apart, is the wonderful service from literally everyone we came across. A super team of people. Thank you!
Super support de coach faical
An absolutely splendid stay in every possible way. From the arrival to our departure, everything is designed to create an exceptional experience. The rooms are stunning, offering an extraordinary level of comfort that is truly hard to put into words. Waking up to the wonderful sea view adds a sense of magic and serenity that makes every moment unforgettable.
The service is simply impeccable. Every member of the team recognizes us and goes above and beyond with remarkable professionalism and genuine warmth. Their attention to detail and ability to anticipate our needs make us feel not just welcomed, but truly cared for.
What truly sets this place apart is the Kids Club team. Our children absolutely fell in love with them. Their kindness, creativity, and dedication allowed us to relax completely, knowing our kids were happy and in wonderful hands.
The spa is perfect, a peaceful sanctuary that elevates the entire experience to another level and completes the feeling of absolute well-being.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire team. Your attention, kindness, and intuitive understanding of what we need make all the difference. Thanks to you, I never feel like just a guest; I feel at home every single time with my family.
This is without question our favorite place to stay, and we already cannot wait to return.
The experience was good and the New Year celebration was outstanding but the service was poor . I would like to appreciate and applaud the high performance of Studio 42 for their competence and the service quality under the leadership of Mr. Ali . His communication skills and customer satisfaction was above expectations

We visited Hotel Mazagan as a group of four couples on a golf holiday and honestly had the best time. Everything from the rooms and staff to the food and golf course was spot on.
Rooms & Views
My wife and I booked a garden-view room, but it actually had a lovely view of both the sea and the lake. It was peaceful and quiet, and we think it was even nicer than the poolside rooms because it caught the morning sun.
Staff & Service
The staff here are brilliant – really friendly and always keen to help. A special shout-out has to go to Chef Hasna in the golf club bar. She made the best club sandwich any of us have ever had – so good that we asked her to come out for a photo with us! Even if you’re not playing golf, it’s worth popping into the golf club at lunchtime just for that sandwich.
The concierge team were also excellent, helping us sort out some missing golf clubs that didn’t make our flight and organising our airport transfers. Drivers were great too – smooth, safe journeys and even Wi-Fi in the cars.
Housekeeping was top-notch – rooms were checked twice a day, towels and sheets changed daily, and everything was kept spotless. You can tell the staff genuinely care about guests having a good experience.
Food & Drinks
We were on an all-inclusive golf package organised by Golf Kings and the food and drink were fantastic. The buffet had loads of choice, and we also tried:
• Sal de Mer (seafood restaurant)
• Beachside BBQ
• The French Cave – the confit duck was huge and delicious!
Cocktails were great, and the drinks included well-known spirits too. Service was excellent everywhere, and the poolside staff were super friendly.
Golf & Facilities
We played a lot of golf and loved the course – it was in great condition and fun to play every day. A buggy is a good idea as there are a few long walks between holes. If your ball goes into the rough (lots of succulents!), it’s tricky to find – and we did spot a snake in there, so watch your step!
The golf reception team and buggy staff were always helpful. One morning, a friend in our group missed breakfast and ordered a sandwich (the famous Hasna club sandwich, of course!). The team actually drove it out to her mid-round so she didn’t go hungry – such a thoughtful touch!
A Couple of Small Suggestions
• A few more rakes in the big bunkers would be handy as not everyone rakes properly.
• Some extra outdoor seating at the golf bar would make the most of the amazing views.
Things to Be Aware Of
Smoking is allowed in some bars and restaurants, so we had to move a couple of times to get away from it. The casino was also pretty smoky – not a big deal for us as we’re not gamblers, but we couldn’t have stayed in there for too long.

Overall:
We had a brilliant week (first week of October) and would definitely come back. The place is beautiful, the staff are lovely, and everything just felt really easy and relaxed. As a group of eight, we couldn’t have asked for a better holiday.
Na
Incredible place with an incredible staff. Traveling with kids is never easy, but this stay was smooth and they all loved! Thanks to Amal who assisted us in all we needed and helped us so much at keeping it all in place and super clean in the room.
One of the best resorts I have ever visited
I really like it the workers was so kind to me and a really nice service specially Med salim and imane and mohamed there was so kind to me and they still with until the end .
Rabie and Amine were great 👍 we had lots of fun trying a new activity and received feedback to improve throughout our session
They have a stunning sea, truly the best resort I've stayed at in Morocco. The service was excellent, though the only issue was the English language barrier. Still, everything was brilliant and the holiday was thoroughly enjoyable!
Staff is not what it used to be
The best experience with the best coach Rabie we had soo much fun together and we take a lot of pictures but the best thing is we had some memories with our friends
Thanks Rabie!
