The New Inn is a Grade I listed building, and has no disabled facilities. Bedrooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors.

Check in times from 14:00 to 21:00. Late check ins only by prior arrangement.

The nearest car park is Kings Walk (GL1 1EA) which is at the rear of the property.

High vans should use Hare Lane North car park (GL1 1DF). It is free between the hours of 18:00 and 07:00 and costs GBP 3 per day Monday - Saturday and GBP 2 for Sundays.

Passengers and luggage may be dropped off at the back door in New Inn Lane - close to Kings Walk car park.

Please Note: The New Inn provides live music on a Friday night between 9pm & midnight and Karaoke on a Saturday night between 8pm & midnight - please be aware this is a city center hotel / bar and it can get noisy on the weekendsPlease inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

PLEASANT AND COSY
Pros:

STAFF WERE ALL VERY POLITE AND FRIENDLY. ATMOSPHERE WAS JUST RIGHT, ROOM WAS IDEAL FOR MYSELF

Ideal location for shops, short walk to Glos quays and the venue Glos guildhall was literally around the corner.
Pros:

The staff were very helpful. The history of the building etc

Cons:

The door of the room didn’t feel overly secure, so would not be keen to stay alone here.
I think due to the age of the building the windows are single glazed and a walkway was alongside it so quite a lot of noise of people walking shouting etc up the alleyway until about 4am.
Not hotels fault but didn’t sleep well with this.

Gorgeous building, the location to attractions and the local amenities
Pros:

Incredible building loaded with history, staff and location. Lots of other historic buildings with plenty of places to eat and drink for all tastes.

Cons:

We can’t comment on all rooms obviously but ours was in desperate need of a sympathetic upgrade! A half finished bottle of water on the window cill in the room on our arrival petty I know but with the general condition of the room made if feel unclean, Cigarette butts in the court yard ( including a dog bowl ) how hard can it be to sweep up ? General building maintenance could and should have been better!! I know it’s grade 1 listed which must be a challenge but leaking gutters, damaged sections of roof visible … such a shame to see ! Needs a significant amount of national lottery money invested if ever there is a building that deserves it.

Pros:

It was perfect. Good value for money, staff was amazing and once you were there you had no need to go anywhere else.

A very historic and beautiful place to stay.
Pros:

The New Inn was a wonderful old coaching inn. It was very charming and relaxing. The staff were all lovely and the food delicious.
