Clean comfortable good value for money friendly staff easy parking. Nice all round.
Nothing. All good
Room was clean and comfortable with an unexpected and very welcome view towards the river and the open countryside. Staff were friendly, check in and check out was quick and efficient. For such an old building the bathroom had been given a modern makeover and the shower and bath were very good.
It's a historic building so you know there won't be all the mod cons we have got used to - so no air con! But a fan was provided and the windows could be opened (albeit not very wide) so I was able to cool the room down.
Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom (some re-grouting required), really effective double glazing. Excellent food and Wye Valley beers at reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Peaceful at night in a rear room. Very historic hotel with fascinating history.
Parking location (at the rear of the property) could be better publicised as could the fact that there are limited spaces
It’s been beautifully updated and is a lovely mix of old and contemporary decor. The garden is lovely and a comfortable place to enjoy the sun when we get it
Nothing really
The location was great in the centre of town.
It was a bit hot in the room due to the heat it would have been nice to have had a fan in the room.
Room was excellent although it was a very hot night!
Beautiful hotel in an authentic Tudor style. Room was spacious and well appointed with a nice view.
A tiny thing but whilst I support the no clean policy I would have liked my tea tray refreshing. Was done on day one when I asked but not the following day.
Very comfortable, staff are great, food incredible.

Steep staircase
The room was lovely and comfortable Staff very helpful and friendly. The meal was greatly enjoyed.
Breakfast good. Room comfortable and characterful though we were there in heatwave so very hot. They had provided a fan which helped a bit
Rear stairs could do with carpet clean
Location and history
.no lift
Staff were fantastic, very polite and helpful. Food also great. 10/10 for that
No air con. Got put in room 208 and it was impossible to stay in it, ended up leaving a day early. Don’t think I’ve ever been in a room like an oven before.
the history of the hotel and its varied accomdation availability
the weather was very hot but the facilities could not cope thus making the environment very uncomfortable
