Very nice room with a very big bed.
A little cramped with tiny desk and difficault door to shower/wc room but otherwise we were very comfortable.
Reception staff on arrival friendly and helpful.
Air conditioning unit needs updating. Bedroom needs modernising. Bed very uncomfortable. Nobody at reception when we left.
The staff! Ever so nice, ever so helpful. The room, even though a bit small, had an a/c which was worth its weight in gold in the middle of a heatwave. Good blackout curtains and comfy mattresses made for a good night‘s rest. The breakfast options left no wishes open. Location: pretty central in Suffolk and right next to the A14 (but without any noise), ideal for us to explore Suffolk on day trips.
We had a bad dinner experience at the hotel restaurant. If you pay 30 £ for a 2-course meal you expect quality. First it took 40 minutes for a starter to be served, then another half hour for an inedible main course. By that time I was truly annoyed and had lost my appetite. I lodged a complaint with the manageress on duty. We didn’t have to pay for anything but our last evening was already spoilt. I hope it was a one-off and other guests had a better experience.

No kettle as I could see, thin plastic shower curtain ,but I'm being fussy & would book again.
