Friendly receptionists who were happy to help.
Delicious breakfast, it was great not being made to feel like we had to rush to leave.
I had a really lovely stay and would definitely return.
The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. I had a great night’s sleep and everything in the room was exactly as I’d hoped.
The full English breakfast in the morning was excellent and a great start to the day.
What really stood out, though, were the staff. Everyone I dealt with was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful, and nothing seemed too much trouble.
A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when I’m next in the area.

All was okay except for the splitting bed.
The double bed is not suitable for couples as it splits severally to discomfort.
Car park, staff friendliness and location.
Musty smell in the room, we were given an easy access room although none of us had any mobility issues. The wet room had a very high toilet seat and uncomfortable sink height.
Location waa perfect and lots of car parking. Staff were lovely especially the super helpful lady who served breakfast. The breakfast was also excellent. Lots of choice and great quality.

Comfortable bed, good breakfast. Very safe location to leave our bicycles overnight. Staff person Frank was very good, friendly and helpful.
Wifi wasn’t consistent. We stayed overnight on a Saturday when a wedding was being held. Instead of giving us a room away from the banquet room we were adjacent to it and any chance of getting to sleep before 23:30 was impossible. I don’t understand why we weren’t given a room far away from the noise and let the wedding guests have the close rooms. I hope they don’t do this to other non wedding guests.
Comfortable bed, good tea/coffee-making in the room (Yorkshire tea; a winner!) clean and quiet. Good quality breakfast. The staff are wonderful. Really friendly, helpful & personable.
The dining room staff. The large car park. An are conditioning unit in the room, which we did not need to use as the heatwave was over. Convenient access to the A14, only a few minutes away.
There was no lift. The signage from the carpark to the reception was practically non-existent, nothing to help guide people with walking difficulties to use a ramp access, which was out of sight at the front of the building which we did not use as we drove past it into the car park.
Poor signage inside the hotel to lead a guest to their room, using 100 & 200series numbers, when their are only about 35 rooms! The staircase to the upper floor is at the end of a long dark corridor, where the sign light only switches on when you are near the sign! A new guest could easily assume the stairs do not exist, as they are beyond a side door in that corridor!
Dining room staff had to double as chef on both mornings, because the chef was 'on holiday'?
On our second day we returned at 7:30pm to find the Dining Room closed, no chef!
There was no feel of a welcoming hotel, more of a busy B & B.
A clean hotel with very friendly welcoming staff.
On my first morning, I arrived for breakfast at 7:05 am. I did not get any breakfast before having to leave at 7:45 am. I ordered a poached egg on toast. Very disappointing.

but on arrival we were informed that no evening meal was available. We drove 6 miles to find a decent restaurant as going to the local Pub was not in our plan.
