Great hotel in excellent location
Pros:

Hotel is conveniently located near the main train station and within 10-15 min walking distance to Basel historic center (or a few stops by tram, if you want to save energy). Like all Swiss hotels, it provides you with a Basel Tourist card, that gives a free access to all public transportation, museum entrance and various discounts during your stay.

Our Ambiente Double Room was awesome. Very spacious, full of light pouring through big windows, with hardwood floors, it turned out to be a Fitness room. We moved into the corner the stationary bike:), but fully utilized yoga mat and even Swedish ladder. The room faced the busy square, but was very quiet. Air con worked wonders during the heat wave.

Breakfast was delicious, staff attentive and helpful.

Cons:

No fridge in the room. Otherwise, we loved the place.
