Lovely team working very hard. Clean and comfortable.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. the cleaning was done well and the laundry changed every day.
Staff were excellent, friendly, accommodating. Food was also excellent and very filling.
Loved the pool and sauna, gardens also very nice.

There's nothing that would stop me going again
The staff went out of their way to make my grand daughter very comfortable as a last minute add on to my booking.
Our evening drink was cut short by the 8pm closing time. Although we had been told about the closing, it was not obvious that last orders were 7 30pm and the bar would be closed too.

Had a full English and the breakfast bacon and tomato’s wasn’t cooked enough also WiFi was. Shocking as couldn’t connect at all
pleasant hotel building with a clean comfortable bedroom.
We arrived late afternoon and asked about dinner. No food was being served at all that night as they had had a barbecue event earlier in the day. All the staff would do is suggest the local pub (it is only a village and they were fully booked). They told us they could provide cutlery if we ordered food to be delivered but had no idea where in the area we could order food. We to go out and fend for ourselves. the following night was a Sunday and they offer no food then either. Nobody told us about this when we booked. very poor service!
We liked the location and that it was old and quirky. The food was excellent
The room we had needed some updating, very old hairdryer that didn’t work and the bedding could be upgraded.

The Hotel reception and staff attendance close at 6pm on a Sunday and entrance to the hotel was by using keys left in a lockbox.
Closing at 6pm meant there was no access to the bar, snacks or food and leisure facilities. The village also seems to shutdown early on a Sunday . No warning had been provided by Booking. Com when the reservation was made.
The pool was lovely and relaxing, the staff during breakfast were outstanding a credit to the hotel.
Hair dryer in room did not work and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. The room was incredibly hotel even with the windows open and two fans on.
Tranquil location, lovely garden, dining rooms and indoor pool. Staff were excellent and couldn't be more helpful.

Very easy to get around, a fantastic Poole and the breakfast was superb. The staff were great and the location was an easy walking distance of a couple of nice pubs. Thank you for a great stay!
It was a lovely old building with great history to explore. Beautiful place.
The facilities were not what you’d expect from a 4 star. I have been staying in many hotels over the the last 11 years and for a 4 star, the facilities were definitely not up to standard that would be expected from a 4 star. The mattress definitely needs replacing, so soft we sank in to it. The hair dryer wasn’t working. No fridge, the bathroom door needs oiled it’s very loud at night. The fan provided was noisy on oscillation. Most 4 star hotels have toiletry kits available. It appeared as though it needs some loving investment to bring the customer experience up to 4 star standard. The breakfast was not as expected also. The place has amazing potential. It’s stunning.
Excellent meal in the restaurant
Unfortunate room in the roof, facing south where the blinds had been left up all day. If it were not in the time of an intense heat wave the room would have been adequate. As it was, the heat was too great for safety or comfort and we went home.
Staff were sympathetic but they could not offer an alternative room as they were fully booked. Disappointing as the hotel otherwise, was pleasant.

Everything shut early and we had to drive out at 8 pm due to the whole place being shut shit really
