We had the 4 poster room and it really was lovely. Great bathroom with Jacuzzi bath! Pool was great. Really friendly welcome from the lady on reception.
Pastries ran out at breakfast!
In a lovely village & it is a lovely building
The dining room, lounge, garden, parking and location were all good. The pool was good but scarily deep! The staff were very friendly, no complaints there.
The room had very tired mock medieval furnishings that was at least 30 years old and grubby and shabby. The rooms really need a makeover. The actual breakfast meal was fine, though it is a set meal and not very substantial. The table food was awful, no greek yogurt, really bad offerings of cereal and no nice juices or cheeses or breads, this was really poor. The main issue was the room.
Location was good for visiting family! Lovely choice of teas & biscuits, coffee machine was water marked which put my husband off trying to work it!
We we're upgraded to a four poster bed room on arrival, it was the most uncomfortable bed i ever remember sleeping in, the pillows were too dense! The window blind opposite the bed was impossible to close so as soon as daylight came the room was flooded with light!
Lovely cute traditional hotel with lots of character, the room was a good size with tea and coffee facilities, a fan and comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good location for us as we were staying for the goodwood festival of speed, only took 30-40 minutes to get there and we made a couple of trips to the beach which was a short drive away.
The room was extremely warm fully aware this is through no fault of the hotel, but just a note to bear in mind if you are visiting in a heatwave!
The breakfast I thought personally could've been better, there was a good selection of pastries and cereals but me and my partner both were underwhelmed with our cooked breakfast and would've gave it a 6/10.
Big room. Swimming pool. Aircon in the restaurant.
No aircon in bedroom. Not the best breakfast. Being excluded from the garden at 9pm!
Lovely room ,good facilities, very clean, nice kerb appeal
Nothing
Dinner was poor
Breakfast was ok although fruit selection limited
Only 2 young staff covering reception, bar and restaurant. Poor selection of drinks and no knowledge of products.
Dinner was below average. Fish overcooked....best thing was the carrots (although they weren't chanterey as menu)
Music awful .....
Hotel and rooms very dated. No air con in bedrooms.
Pillows poor
To be asked to come in from gardens at 9pm was ridiculous and then ALL doors to outside were locked and bar closed!
The price paid was WAY in excess of value of our stay.
Previous night we stayed in a pub with rooms and air con. Great food and professional service for less than half what we paid at Angmering.
It was quaint and very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
The restaurant closed early.
Beautiful manor house, decorated in keeping.
Good customer service from staff, friendly, helpful
No continental breakfast option available
I love the rooms, they are most beautifully created, the furniture is adorable. I love it. The breakfast was very good, except coffee. And the breakfast room was very beautiful also. The two boys who served breakfast were amazing. Well done guys.
The bed mattress very poor, overused, had no support at all.
They close very early, love to sleep a lot. Before sunset doors are locked. On Sundays dining only till 4pm, bar at 6pm closes. It's summer, does not make sense.
Plastic kettle in the room and poor shower pressure.
Excellent two young men serving - very helpful
Unaware in advance that the Hotel bar and food and swimming pool closed on Sunday night. We chose a hotel and not a B & B for these facilities
Everything. Friendly staff, lovely room, good breakfast
Nothing
Atter arriving and freshening up, I went in search of a drink to enjoy in the garden as it was a lovely evening. I was told the bar closed, which was very early for a hotel and I had to beg for a drink of water. I couldn't sit anywhere down stairs after 10 and was told I had go to my room in no uncertain terms. I'd driven three hours to get here!
I wasn't expecting that, after all the glowing reviews of the place. I was really sad, as I thought I would treat myself to a little get away. I ended up feeling miserable.
