Very welcoming and helpful staff. A quirky and olde world place with narrow staircases and low ceilings as you would expect in a building of that age. My room was spacious with a four poster bed but it had been set up for a wedding anniversary with a banner and petals on the bed which made me giggle as it was only my birthday. The bathroom was a little tired, but clean. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice on the cooked breakfast plus a small selection of cereals, pastries and yoghourt. They also catered for other dietary needs if requested. We found a couple of pubs within walking distance where we were happily welcomed by the locals.
The room was a bit hot even though there was no heating on and we had to keep all of the windows open.

Nothing stood out in terms of positives - nice village location
Bathroom light did not work - had to shower in the dark. Bed was more of a hammock. Service was generally poor - I went to the bar at 18:50 for a glass of wine pre-dinner - no one in the bar to serve, then popped my head into reception, asked for service - the person asked if I had a dinner reservation - I said 'yes', at 19:00. He responded that "you shouldn't be late for dinner, so please go through", so I foresook my glass of wine in the bar and went into the restaurant. Which was empty bar two other diners. You couldn't make it up really.
Great location - nice looking dining area - and pool looked nice although did not use
The room had secondary glazing which made it difficult to fully open the windows - although a fan was thankfully provided. Decor was very dark , which befits its age. On a Sunday the outer doors were locked by 7pm when we got back - felt a wee bit abandoned .

Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't available due to a wedding on the day. Although that is understandable it would have been nice to know the restaurant wasn't available when we booked. Additionally we were sent repeated reminders to book the restaurant through booking.com even after it was realised it wasn't available. Apart from that, all okay

An excellent stay from start to finish. A very warm welcome from Callum who checked us in. Sam and CJ looked after us at breakfast and the two lovely house keeping girls (sorry didn't get your names) ensured our room was kept up to a great standard throughout our stay.
Would wholly recommend staying at the Angmering Manor Hotel.

It's a lovely old world hotel built around 1580 with a cosy bar. The staff were well trained, helpful and pleasant. The gardens were attractive, despite the drought. Breakfast was included and was plentiful with many tasty dishes on offer including full English. The marmelade and pastries were delicious. We were visiting relatives nearby so the location was convenient. The room was comfortable with windows that opened and a good size bathroom (shower only). There are some steps to level 2 but easy to navigate. Tea, coffee and a kettle were provided in the room.
The hotel could do with some updating. Our mattress was not the most comfortable and probably needed replacing. There were quite a few cobwebs around the outside of the windows. There was no mini fridge in the room.
Breakfast was well organised and the young lad that served us was amazing a credit to the hotel. There was plenty of selection

The rooms were very clean, the decor and vibe was lovely. The staff were very polite. Very idyllic property and would be a great venue for weddings
There wasn't much to dislike. The wood beams were lovely but not meant for tall people. More "mind your head" signs or a protector of sorts are needed. Some of the plugs and switches didn't work, but it's an old building.
