Ein Hotel mit Charme, schöner Lage und durchaus vorhandenem Potenzial, dessen tatsächliche Servicequalität dem eigenen A
Pros:

Das Hotel hinterlässt auf den ersten Blick einen durchaus positiven Eindruck: schöne Lage, ein stilvolles Ambiente, ein außergewöhnlich schöner Billardraum und ein angenehmer Poolbereich. Der Empfang an der Rezeption war ausgesprochen herzlich und professionell. Auch die beiden Basset Hounds des Hauses sind sympathisch und gehören offensichtlich zum Charakter des Hotels.

Cons:

Bei einem längeren Aufenthalt zeigen sich jedoch Schwächen, die insbesondere gemessen am Anspruch und an der Kategorie des Hauses nicht zu übersehen sind.

Die Lage ist landschaftlich schön, wird allerdings durch den unmittelbar vorbeiführenden, teilweise überraschend schnellen und lauten Durchgangsverkehr beeinträchtigt. Wer absolute Ruhe erwartet, sollte dies berücksichtigen.

Deutlichen Verbesserungsbedarf sehen wir beim Service. Die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit schwanken erheblich und erreichen aus unserer Erfahrung nicht durchgehend das Niveau, das man von einem guten Drei- bzw. Vier-Sterne-Hotel erwarten darf. Besonders befremdlich empfanden wir, dass Mitarbeiter während des Lunch-Service regelmäßig rauchten. In einem Haus mit gehobenem Anspruch ist das für uns ein klares No-Go.

Auch das Frühstück kann mit dem übrigen Anspruch des Hotels nicht mithalten. Für italienische Verhältnisse ist die Auswahl eher überschaubar und wenig abwechslungsreich. Beim Obst beschränkt sich das Angebot im Wesentlichen auf einen Obstsalat; eine ansprechende Auswahl an frischem Obst wäre wünschenswert. Noch auffälliger ist jedoch der Frühstücksservice: Benutztes Geschirr bleibt lange auf den Tischen stehen, und ein kontinuierliches Abräumen findet kaum statt. Von einem aufmerksamen Frühstücksservice ist man hier leider ein gutes Stück entfernt.

Bei Sauberkeit und Housekeeping besteht ebenfalls Handlungsbedarf. Die Treppenhäuser machten während unseres Aufenthalts nicht den Eindruck, regelmäßig und gründlich gesaugt bzw. gereinigt zu werden. Auch die Mülleimer am Parkplatz wurden nicht zuverlässig geleert. Das sind Kleinigkeiten, die in der Summe jedoch viel über die operative Führung eines Hotels aussagen.

Ein spezielles Thema sind die beiden Hunde. Wir mögen Hunde und fanden die Bassets ausgesprochen nett. Problematisch wird es allerdings, wenn sich der Hundegeruch auf Bereiche und Textilien überträgt, die von Gästen genutzt werden.

Location incredibile, personale da rivedere.
Pros:

Location bellissima, in mezzo ai colli toscani. Personale non all’altezza sopratutto la reception, abbiamo avuto un problema con l’aria condizionata e ci è stato detto che avrebbero risolto il giorno dopo (cioè il giorno del nostro check out).

Lovely and peaceful stay in Tuscany!
Pros:

We had a lovely stay at Villa Sabolini. The grounds were beautiful and it was in a convenient location not far from Florence and even closer to Siena.
We dined at the restaurant twice for dinner which had to have been some of the best food we’ve had during our month long Europe trip. Each meal was 5 stars! Staff were very helpful and friendly and housekeeping always kept our room clean and tidy. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool.

Cons:

Unfortunately our room did not always get wifi which wouldn’t have been a problem if we could get phone reception in the room. Our room was a bit of a dead spot for reception. But I understand that is more likely the location rather than the hotel. Additionally, I think small upgrades to furnishings, broken bathroom fixtures and toiletries would make a big difference. Our air conditioner was also not great in the room.
Breakfast was just okay and could definitely be improved, the selection was a bit limited and bread and fruit did not always seem fresh.

the cleaning service only came one day of four of total estance; the wifi connection kept interrupted for the whole time; and the breakfast keep offering the same day after day. Evaluating the money paid for a “pleasant stay”, doesn’t worth it at all.

Bella struttura in dimora storica
Pros:

Struttura molto bella e curata nei minimi dettagli. Personale disponibile ed accogliente. All'arrivo abbiamo trovato acqua fresca e crocchette per il nostro cucciolo, un'attenzione molto gradita. Colazione con buona scelta di opzioni dolci e salate.

Cons:

Camera un po' piccola e con box doccia accanto al letto e non all'interno del bagno. Il ristorante un po' al di sotto delle aspettative per rapporto qualità/prezzo.
