This Hotel has ceased trading. Me and my partner arrived Saturday 26th of April for a booking we paid for in February only to find a note on the door informing us it had been closed since 9th of April. No one informed us of this prior to travelling so alternative accommodation had to be found on a Saturday night. Very poor.
The hotel I booked though you had been repossessed and was closed leaving us in a very bad situation with car park booked and paid for restaurants booked deposits booked and so on. I hadn’t been given any notice of this situation at all really not happy and want to know what you are going to do about all this stress and inconvenience caused to my wife and I.
Many thanks
Christian Fearon
A little older hotel, the set up or design of the is a little odd, I think it used to be a bank or something. But the staff was GREAT and the location is PERFECT! The Beatles statue is only about 3 blocks down on the pier.
An unpleasant suprise today.
They cancelled my room without any explanation , or excuses.
It's very hard to book another room on such a short term.
Booking.com offered other hotels, but non of them were close to this one.
I can't believe they offer a service like this, and as I understood I was not the only one.
Arrived for check in last night. Security on door advised the hotel was subject to a possession order and not accepting guests. Must have only just happened as we saw several guests departing with all their luggage.
Hotels.com help line was closed so had to make alternative arrangements.
Arrive to a locked up hotel. Security on door advised us the hotel has been repossessed!
Tried calling hotels.com but got recorded message saying office closed.
Managed to check in at nearby alternative so will need refund from hotels.com
Good location
Everything very good and comfortable. Just the entrance is a bit smelly so was off putting but when we saw the room all was good!
Liked that it was close to everywhere we needed to go. Love that an old building getting used
It’s good for the price you pay. clean. It’s very noisy at night being in the city centre.
Super great location nice rooms the personal is not that friendly, a little bit expensive for being a guest house a few steps is easy hotel for the same costo and brand new
Lovely stay at the Heywood House Hotel. Perfectly located with lots of restaurants nearby. Watched the Liverpool match at the pub next door. Very comfortable room and bed. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.
It’s 2am now, we’ve not had a minute’s sleep. The noise from the local bars, people screaming and the incredibly noisy glass bins are outrageous. Furthermore our bedroom (310) window doesn’t close properly so all these loud urban noises are crystal clear. It’s awful. How anyone should pay to endure this is quite incredible.
Easy to get to, nice and clean, central to everything, no complaints !
David.
Nice hotel. Perfect location, clean and comfy
Unfortunately, whatever else this hotel has to commend it, (and to be fair, there are many things), I cannot recommend it unless you are in Liverpool to party into the early hours. The problem is that several rooms are immediately above a bar/restaurant that plays insanely loud music until 2:00am. And I mean INSANELY loud, thumping bass, coming through the structure of the building; God knows what it must be like in the bar itself. Unfortunately two nights of very poor sleep completely wrecked our visit to Liverpool. A shame really, as otherwise the hotel was pleasant and well placed in the centre. The bar is not under the ownership of the hotel, so there is little they can do about it. The hotel website does warn to "expect some external city centre noise during weekends", but that is more than a bit disingenuous. We are not talking some occasional passing revellers at closing time, or an early morning bin collection, this is incessant, window rattling, floor vibrating, multi-megawatt mayhem from 5:00pm to 2:00am. If you are still tempted by this hotel, I suggest asking for a room on the top floor, as this will distance you from the source of the noise, and may attenuate it a little. I suspect it would be insufficient.
Noisy hotel located next to a bar that plays music till 2am making it impossible to sleep before then
The best point about this hotel is the location for visiting Liverpool as a tourist. A couple of minutes from the the pier head, Liverpool one, Liverpool museum, Beatles statue and much more
The staff are friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in very early.
Tea coffee in the room. One pack of biscuits for two of us. Room was clean.
Best western do falsely advertise this hotel with a best and breakfast rate. We did book this rate and did receive an email a couple of weeks before staying saying it would not be honoured as we had ‘received a good rate’ according to them. Anyway we couldn’t be bothered to raise it further.
There are no facilities at the hotel. No communal areas. So if you’re just looking for a room this is the place.
Fab 1 night stay - thank you.
Room was fabulous, comfortable, clean, quiet (this was surprising given it was a Saturday night in city centre)
Staff were brilliant and helpful.
Location is perfect.
Don’t bother booking, I booked this on a Black Friday deal last roughly 12 weeks ago, booked as bed and breakfast also stated this on my booking, I received a email in January stating if I wish to purchase breakfast at hotel I can, when contacted them they were quite rude stated if I wasn’t happy I could get a refund, but carried on with booking, then received several emails stating year 2025 is the year of free breakfast for each night booked, so contacted them again, was told again I had no breakfast and could purchase one, I wasn’t happy and told them I would raise a complaint with best western, but left the hotel booked for weekend as it was our 37 years anniversary and booked this hotel with other friends.
Then 2 days ago I received a email stating that they have cancelled and refunded my booking as I have had several conversations with reception and do not contact or book this hotel again, very rude and unprofessional for such a big chain of hotels, obviously they don’t like to hear of a complaint but when you pay for something you expect to get what you pay for.
On the plus side they haven’t spoiled our weekend as I have booked a better hotel which I have used before.
Avoid this place as your booking is not 100% guaranteed if you raise a complaint.
