Great City Break
Pros:

This was our first stay at the Resident (and for Liverpool), but it won’t be our last. It’s ideally placed near bars and shopping areas, and lovely to stay at. Had some of the best nights sleep in a while, and the rooms had a small kitchenette to use. Couldn’t fault the room at all.

I have to mention that they have the friendliest reception staff I’ve ever met.

Weekend Stay for 18th birthday.
Pros:

A group of us stayed at this hotel for my Granddaughters 18th birthday. It is in a great location for shopping and bars etc. The staff were very accommodating, they decorated the bedroom with balloons that we had sent there for the birthday girl. A great touch is the little kitchenette innthe rooms that also has a microwave. This came in handy for me. They couldn't do enough for you. I would definitely stay there again without a doubt.

We won’t return due to the heat.
Pros:

Central location, parking nearby, near to central station. Nice restaurants nearby. Staff professional.

Cons:

It was very hot in our bedroom on arrival. We adjusted the air-conditioning but it made no difference. I asked at reception, which itself was nice and cool, and was advised to leave our key in so the energy remained on whilst we were out. On our return the temperature had dipped minimally. We found it difficult to sleep due to the temperature. The bathroom was basic and felt more like a travel lodge bathroom, despite the branded toiletries.

One of the best hotels in Liverpool
Pros:

The staff are friendly. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. We booked a King-sized room and we're satisfied with the room that we got. Molton Brown toiletries are the icing on the cake.

The location is perfect, even though it's closed to the main city area, there's no noise and the area is safe to walk. The room has a good and controllable air conditioning which is handy.

We didn't get to use the provided microwave but it's a good option to have. Just note that this hotel doesn't provide breakfast but there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, so it's not a problem.

Thanks for the greeting card that we received. It's a really nice touch. We definitely will book this hotel again if we visit Liverpool.

Cons:

Our king sized bed is a combination of two single beds. We know it's a common practice in Europe but I hope the hotel is more transparent in this regard. It's not a problem for us.

No breakfast option in the hotel but that's easily overcome by its location which is close to other cafes or restaurants.
