It was beautiful. Location is quiet and nature inviting. The restaurant is good. Breakfast was very nice!
The balcony overlooked a nice view and the property was v comfy and well equipped
The duvets and bedding were a bit low quality
Booked a lodge for a birthday night as a present. First appearances outside was untidy, outside the door a broken down cupboard covered in moss. The large fountain at the entrance was surrounded by plastic plants, this seemed very odd in such nice rural settings.
Inside the lodge we found the microwave and oven to be greasy, behind the sink, the silicone had mostly lifted allowing water to go behind the cupboards, some of which were water damaged and also a loose door falling off its hinges, some mould was also present. In one bedroom an electrical socket was not secured to the wall correctly and sparks were coming from it. In our bedroom the skirting boards were stained in part and needed cleaning, most soft furnishings were grubby, also the large bed separated during the night causing our grandson to fall into a hole, the bed was not connected correctly.
Moving on to the swimming pool, we were told we could not go in as it was at capacity 31 people maximum, we were kept waiting nearly 45 minutes, when we did get in it was nowhere near up to capacity, we counted 10 people plus ourselves.
Breakfast was mostly stone cold, buffet was very poor, continental was the same.
Sausages were not browned and poor quality, bacon was ok but cold and looked as if boiled , haggis and black pudding were cold and mushy, needed grilling as did the sausage and bacon.
No porridge or fresh fruit available, this breakfast would have cost us £100 so we were disappointed.
Finally above our table , the light was covered in cobwebs above our food.
Checking out there were people complaining about breakfast to us ,we were in a queue of about 12 people and had to wait, I made the reception aware of the dangerous socket in the room but we had other accommodation booked and needed to leave.
We have since made booking . Com and Wyndham aware, however Ducally maintain I should have said all this at reception, not everyone likes to do this in the middle of a crowd, however I did mention the electrical socket as this was a danger.
The staff were all nice young people.
Mr Park.
Loved the fact we could all move around to each others lodges with ease. Weather was superb so sat on the decking most afternoons while children played chess, football, tig. Pool was small but nice and warm and clean. Staff were lovely at the pool. Towels are provided for you there.
We had 3 lodges and single bed rooms were downstairs so our little people were not beside mummy and daddy. Settees which fold down not the most comfortable. Wifi dreadful so eldest granddaughter unable to watch Netflix on her iPad.
Friendly staff
Not catering for a business customer
Very slow Wi-Fi - impossible to work / have a Teams meeting
Breakfast not til 8am - too late for business
Gym v small
Charming location on beautful grounds. Friendly, outgoing staff. Amazing meal and drinks at Monteith's. Bottle of house wine for dinner, plush robes, and deep soak tub really made us feel special. One of our top two stays during our 12-day adventure. Thank you!!!
Getting availability for and booking massages and/or treatments could be easier and more convenient than back and forth phone calls or the front desk suggesting that we walk down the road to the spa to ask about availability. I understood that it may have been too short of notice to accommodate, but it would have been more efficient if online booking (or at least availability) were available, or the front desk be able to contact them by phone (we were told the masseuse and/or spa doesn't have a direct extension so they can't call them directly).
The property is set in amazing countryside, the hotel itself is set in a complex with several " lodges" and is easy to find. The leisure complex is good and free to use.
There are a number of lodges in the grounds of the hotel, this means there are a lot of vehicle movements and people around in the grounds / bar / restaurant. The layout of the complex means that you have to leave the hotel to go to the leisure centre which is about a 5 minute walk . The room itself was large but a bit dated and needing a refurb, especially as we were paying top rate for the accommodation.
Great location
There was on staircases although this was requested and we had a one year old with us
Then then told us maintenance would fit one for and when I insisted on a new at each end of the stairs they weren’t happy and there was a lot off insistence from me and not possible coming from them
Beautiful setting, lovely apartment with all the mod cons required to enjoy the stay.
There is no EV charger anywhere on or near the property. We went into Auchterarder to discover all their chargers were faulty so ended up having to go to Gleneagles to charge the car so we had enough mileage to get home! This is a very disappointing service they are lacking and may put us off returning.
Spacious and comfortable lodge. Beautiful setting / landscaped grounds. Friendly staff
A few minor signs of wear and tear e.g. delaminating frying pan base and damage to worktop.
The location requires a car as it is not near a town or village.
A szállás parkja gyönyörűen kialakított és gondozott. Finom reggelit kaptunk. A személyzet nagyon kedves volt. Kiváló bázis a környék felfedezéséhez. Kár, hogy nem jutott idő a wellness részleg kipróbálására.
Lage
Hotel schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen! Teppich, Möbel und ausstattung! Sauberkeit könnte besser sein - Rollos/Fenster staubig! Badezimmer teils schimmlig! Teppich fleckig! Schwimmbad riecht nach Chemie!
The room was excellent, very comfortable and clean. the breakfast selection was very good and dinner was some of the tastiest food we have experienced in a hotel, simple menu but absolutely delicious.
I booked the hotel as a surprise for my wife and daughter and in the room they provided chocolates and Scottish shortbread and flowers for their arrival, lovely touch and very much appreciated.
The surrounding lodges were a lot closer to the hotel than we expected and this impacted the expectation of a country estate hotel.
