Pros:

We worked at Windermere House 50 years ago, it is a very special place for my husband and I. We try and go every year for one night on our anniversary.

Very nice resort and great Muskoka location.
Pros:

Location and boat docking.

Cons:

The restaurant dining and bar meals are overrated and too expensive for average quality of meals. ( breakfast was very good).

Loved it - would definitely recommend!
Pros:

Most of the staff were insanely friendly, especially in the bar/ restaurant (Matthew in particular!). Unbelievable location overlooking the lake and great facilities with relaxed feel.

Cons:

At reception upon arrival, the staff could have been a little more attentive, eg. I asked to have my bags taken up to the room but they were still down in reception 2hrs later after dinner

Not everything in the dark during power outage
Pros:

The location is spectacular, the hotel and room is deluxe. Pub was very nice too

Cons:

The storm that hit just at sunset left us in our room in the dark. However, the hotel had a generator and the Halls were well lit. Elevator still worked too. Great breakfast,

Don’t think we’ll be back.
Pros:

The location was nice.

Cons:

The twitchy lady at the front desk was SO rude. No kayaks out because the water is too cold even if you don’t care about getting wet. Check-in at 4pm and they refused to even hold the bags for us. The breakfast was terrible. Pool is heated supposedly but every guest was complaining about how cold it was.

Rooms really nice.

Cons:

No chairs on our balcony
Retreat weekend was on when we were there so hard to get access to saunas etc as they took over the place. Very noisy in restaurant too

The property is lovely , very clean and staff is very friendly . Great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
