They have several buildings, so be aware you may not be in the main building with the restaurant and pool.

Absolutely stunning views, wonderful weather, amazing food, and a perfect location.
Pros:

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! The location is perfect, and we had a room with an ocean view — it was unforgettable and incredibly beautiful.
A special thank you for the amazing food as well. The hotel restaurant serves absolutely delicious dishes, and every meal was a pleasure.

And the breakfast — honestly, the best breakfast we’ve had during all of our recent trips! It was unforgettable, with an incredible variety of choices and everything was absolutely delicious. We were truly impressed — there are simply no words to describe how amazing it was.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again!

Cons:

The only downside for us was the pool area — the chlorine smell was a bit too strong and harsh.

Très bel hotel à l'entrée du Acadia National Park
Pros:

L'hotel est très bien situé à quelques kilomètres de l'entrée du parc national d'Acadia. La chambre avait une vue sur l'océan et un balcon. Très propre. Bon petit-déjeuner

Cons:

Il y avait un mariage le week-end de notre passage. Donc un peu de monde.

Our stay was great and everything I had hoped for.
Pros:

Great location with beautiful balcony and chairs outside to sit on the water.

Cons:

It was on the water and all the restaurants had great views. Very clean and well kept. The room was spacious and had everything we needed.

Our favorite place to stay in Bar Harbor
Pros:

Have stayed here in early May 2025 and 2026 and loved it both times. For an off-season stay, the indoor pool is a must and the weekend campfire s'mores are a nice touch. The staff is always welcoming, rooms are clean with balcony views, grounds are pleasant, and the location on the island is very convenient. Breakfast quality is definitely one of the best we've had in the US.

Cons:

Having stayed in both, the Atlantic View rooms are noticably bigger and a bit nicer than the Main building rooms. Depends on how much you value the convenience of being in the main building, but for our part I think we preferred the Atlantic View building. The indoor pool is great but could use some TLC.
