Poor overall experience not a restful place to stay
Pros:

The staff were friendly

Cons:

Step wooden stairs no lift
Very uncomfortable mattress
No alternative room offered
Fire alarm and evacuation at 02.40 - no staff taking charge and saying it was a false alarm, no one checking guests ok ( my 90 year old mother was very distressed and disorientated). No refund or discount for disturbance and lack of comfort.
Drilling outside our window at 8am as water works being done
Noise from motorway
Small rooms no air con.

Was adequate but expensive for what it was
Pros:

Bed was comfy if a bit warm

Cons:

Staff were mostly very young with dubious customer care skills. Room wasnt ready at the time it should have been, only one patio door locked and buffet breakfast was cold.

Disappointing. Would be OK for a short stay if the neds were better. As it is I can't recommend.
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Breakfast server was polite and efficient.

Cons:

The bed was probably the worst we've ever experienced. It was thin, hard, lumpy and made up of two mattresses put together (we booked an extra large double). There was a false fire alarm in the middle of the night (apparently someone showered with the door open) so we didn't get much sleep.

The outdoor area was small, fenced on one side and with no view other than a few trees. not really worth having.

Cons:

The balcony was not what was expected - overlooked a marquee, with nothing to view. If there was a party in the marquee then it would be very loud.
