Small room. Hot. No air con
Lift not working
I loved the staff (super friendly), really liked my room with its view of the old pier from a side window and it had everything I need. Good tea making facilities always make me happy and nice white towels. Bed was perfectly comfy.
I'd have liked a small fridge and a larger, normal sized sink. It's noisy, but that's always the case with the busiest parts of Brighton.
Super sødt personale. Dejligt stort værelse med god udsigt. Virkelig hyggelig stemning på hotellet. Fantastisk beliggenhed med få minutters gang ned til vandet. Vil helt sikkert anbefale andre at bo der.
Nice location room was clean
No tv in room or aircon , although there was fan thankfully and breakfast options poor better off to eat elsewhere
The staff were top tier and deserve a raise.
Cheap second fixes made it look off. Shower door was sub par, as well as the ceiling.

Bathroom was dirty and the duvet had a massive mark on it .
We booked a late check out for 2pm . We had someone banging on the door at 11.50 .ask us to come to the door. We explained we had late check out and was still in bed . But continued to ask us to come to the door
Then at around 13.15 . I was in bed partner was in the bathroom and the housekeeper which was a young lad . Just let himself in . I explained we had a late check out again and he just stood there . I had to ask him to leave .
The whole experience of staying at this hotel was not nice and when we asked to speak to the manager he was 25 and did not know what to say or do

a great start as the check in staff was fantastic. Andrew was so lovely and friendly !
our room was cozy and comfortable too. had a super cool seaview of the old West pier and the i360 on the 3rd floor. really nice artwork around the lobby and building. they provided a fan for keeping cool as it did get warm on the higher floor. sadly the only photo I got was a rushed one of the view from one of our room windows.
breakfast we had included, it was continental and good quality. the lovely lady made me a toastie too !
location was great for accessing the seafront and making your way to the lanes and the palace pier. also a simple walk from the station as we travelled by train.
overall it was really nice and calming for our 2nd anniversary and we most likely will be returning in the future. thank you to all west beach staff !!
wished there was a TV in our room to watch before bed but it wasn't a deal breaker at all. just be weary if you keep the windows open its VERY loud from the road outside - not a fault of hotel, just keep in mind. lift was a little old but did the job and it does have signs for 2 people max at one time.
Very cozy and friendly
It was basic but very comfortable. Staff were welcoming. Room was clean and spacious.
Unfortunately our room was on the sea front. Whilst it had great views it was extremely noisy particularly early morning when refuse and other trucks arrived making a din. If we stay again I will opt for a room at the rear of the hotel!

Shabby building but only from the outside, inside super cool
We had a great stay at West Beach Hotel in Brighton - I had seen some negative reviews online so was a bit skeptical, but from the moment we arrived we felt really at home. The reception staff were super friendly and made checking in a breeze, and the room was really airy and light. It was a really reasonable price for a night (about 30% cheaper than everything else out there) but was really a perfect loction right across the beach and about 20 mins from Brighton station. Would recommend!
