Pros:

Hotel is op loopafstand van het dorp. Ontbijt is redelijk.

Cons:

Zeldzaam vies hotel. Spinnenwebben in de kamer en de badkamer. Vloerbedekking vies. Tegels los of ontbreken. 155 euro per kamer en echt veel te duur. Hier niet naar toe gaan !!

Lovely hotel & location. Reception lady (from Rotterdam) was very helpful indeed.

Cons:

We booked a table at the restaurant for what we thought would be a lovely meal. There was nothing to say that the restaurant of this high quality hotel was basically a 'school canteen'. No a la carte menu, just a sort of all inclusive meal which you might expect on a coach tour or similar, very small portions, 2 choices, one choice only for a dessert which was served in a shot glass size, all costing €35 pp, outrageous! The same sort of deal on the ferry crossing over only cost £25 & was 100% improvement on that. Very, very disappointed. It should have been pointed out at reception.

Pros:

Topjkamers. Topligging en een zeer fijn restaurant.

Cons:

Jammer dat in het restaurant geen specialiteiten van de streek werden aangeboden. Dat kon alleen in de bar beneden en was zeer beperkt in de tijd.

mooie kamer, fijn dat er n zwembad was , en een prima locatie vlak bij t centrum.

Cons:

Een parkeerplaats voor de deur... Per nacht moet je daar betalen voor.,maar daar wordt niet bij iedereen berekend.

Heerlijk weekendje in Monschau
Pros:

Het ontbijt was perfect. Ik snap niet waar mensen die een slechte recensie schrijven, het halen. Het was zeer uitgebreid en vers en ruim genoeg. Hotel buiten het centrum gelegen en toch op wandelafstand van het centrum was heel ok. Personeel was heel erg vriendelijk, dikke pluim voor de nederlandse dame achter de receptie. Zij is top!!! Ook de gratis flessen water zijn een zeer mooi initiatief.

Cons:

Wij hadden kamer 118 en deze is te dicht naar de lift en is voor de tussendeur gelegen. De kamer kan beter een andere bestemming krijgen. Wij hadden al het uitbundige lawaai van de gasten als ze uit en naar de lift gingen, terwijl ze stonden te wachten. Het rollen van de trolleys, want bij ons lag geen vloerbekleding voor de deur. Dat was 's avonds laat en 's morgens heel vroeg wel vervelend. Nog 1 minpuntje: het bad was te smal. Voor de iets ouderen onder ons, is het haast onmogelijk om uit het bad te geraken. Dit zorgde voor de nodige hilariteit bij ons, maar ik kan me voorstellen dat er mensen in de problemen geraken hierdoor.

Cons:

Das Bad miserabel geputzt, Toilettenpapier musste besorgt werden.
Das Frühstück eine Zumutung, nach gelungener Reklamation haben wir im Ort gefrühstückt.
Der für ca.280 Leute einzige Aufzug wurde gewartet und wir mussten (75.Jahre) zu Fuss inclusive Koffer ( 5.+ 6.Etage) !!!!

Lage war optimal, Personal bemüht.

Cons:

Zimmer nur mäßig gut gereinigt, alt und abgenutzt. Hätte mir für die Badewanne/Duschwanne ein Antirutsch-Pad gewünscht. War ziemlich abenteuerlich zu duschen ohne auszugleiten.
