localisation et vue parfaite ! pour quelques jours
Pros:

la localisation de l'hôtel parfaite
les chambres petit palais (avec des portes donnant sur le hall et des fenetres interieurs ou sur rue sans vue)
La vue de la terrasse
le petit dejeuner où ils étaient arrangeant sur les choix

Cons:

la piscine trop chlorée avec des travaux en pleine journée ce qui ne permettait pas de rester
la climatisation soit très froide dans une chambre soit un ventilo trop bruyant dans l'autre

Great location in the midst of the old city - worth every rupee.
Pros:

The property is ideally located for diving into the local scene. It is located on one of the tiny roads/paths that are just wide enough to for two motorcycles to pass. No cars. You can walk for hours just exploring the old city or you can walk ten minutes to see the city palace (highly recommended) or 5 minutes to see the local puppet / folk dancing show - also HIGHLY recommended. And five minutes downhill takes you to the edge of the lake and the port for getting a boat to tour the lake. And you can walk up to the hotel roof and look out over the lake and see the water palace and the other side of the lake, facing buildings. Also on the roof is a lovely pool and a great place for drinks and food. The food I had was very good but priced 50 percent higher than in the town - but that's convenience.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating.
The property is billed as a heritage house and it definitely still has that feel and location. If you want 5-star sterile luxury, book somewhere else outside the city. If you want a real cultural experience, and can simultaneously walk around dung and avoid motorcycles zipping past you, then stay here. If I return to Udaipur, I'll book the Udaigarh.

Cons:

The bed was adequately comfortable but not cushy. The linens were not outstanding, they felt like they had been washed in hard water. There is hot water to the room, but you must request that the front desk turn it on for you. I took two cold showers before I thought to enquire about it. It's hot there, so the cold shower was fine, but sometimes that's not what you want. So ask. It's an easy fix and one that I think they should put on a note in the room. The AC was very loud providing adequate cooling but with a deafening source of white-noise that cancelled out other sounds.
The location is tough to find. Be sure you have data on your phone (my eSim never connected - avoid Nomad) OR you have a detailed map to the hotel. The taxi that takes you from the airport cannot drop you off at the hotel. I wandered around a bit with my suitcase asking a few people for directions and getting approximately there but finally just asking for help to get there. A kindly cafe owner got one of his staff to take me there direct on his motorcycle (with my suitcase on my lap). Once there, it was more or less easy to find my way around the city, though GPS would have been helpful.
When I left the hotel, the staff booked a taxi for me (INR 1050) and two of their staff carried my luggage for me to the taxi meet point about 500 meters from the hotel.

Hotel excelente con piscina muy limpia

Me gustó todo sobre este hotel. Ubicación perfecta, muy céntrico, con muy buenos restaurantes alrededor, habitaciones bastante espaciosas y con bonita decoración. El aire acondicionado funcionaba perfectamente. La piscina super limpia y preciosa. La vista desde el balcón espectacular y la comida en el restaurante fue la mejor que hemos probado por nuestro viaje alrededor de India. No limpian la habitación pero eso no es un problema para nosotros. Ni bien solicitamos mas papel higiénico y cambio de toallas, en 4 minutos lo tenían ya todo listo.

Cons:

Todo excelente considerando el super precio.

Pros:

An unexpected gem. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We were upgraded to a bigger room. Great facilities, breakfast and bar/restaurant great. The room was lovely with a fridge to keep water cool. Everything clean and nice.

Cons:

There’s only one thing to mention - as a woman using the pool I felt uncomfortable with people who were not using the pool stood taking photos/videos of me in the pool area.

Absolutely wonderful! The best value for money in India!
Pros:

Absolutely amazing! Loved everything about this wonderful hotel. The kind staff, rooftop that pool overlooks the lake, restaurant with delicious food, central location and room with a view were perfect. Even the other guests were friendly and good fun.

In all my travels, this is one of the best value for money places I have ever stayed. Just wonderful.

Top notch facilities, location, service, genuineness, kindness, and positive vibes!
Pros:

I selected Hotel Udaigarh for a study abroad and cultural exchange program I lead through Michigan State University each summer. I cannot say enough good things about Veerendra and his entire hotel staff. They treated us all with such kindness and more like family than as mere guests. They tolerated our team of more than 20 students and 4 instructors from both India and the US for nearly 6 weeks, and we will never forget their grace and helpfulness each and every day.

Thank you Udaigarh team! We will cherish the memories from this year and look forward to our next stay with you for our next joint program!

The best hotel in old city
Pros:

The absolute best hotel in Udaipur. The rooms are cozy, well decorated, and very clean. I slept well every night for a 5 week stay.

But the best part about this hotel is the rooftop and staff. They are so friendly, so welcoming, and so talented I felt like I was living in luxury the entire month I was here. I will be back very soon, and am so excited to see all of them again.

If you wish to stay in old city Udaipur, this is the obvious choice!

Wonderful stay
Pros:

Had a wonderful stay for a month! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were warm, courteous, and always ready to help, making the experience even more enjoyable; it just felt like home I am home. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was so so peaceful and welcoming. The view in the evening was magical from the hotel’s rooftop. Thank you to the entire team of Udaigarh for their excellent hospitality. I would happily recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.
