Was a good overnight stay and break from a long car journey would stay again
Pros:

booked an overnight stay + breakfast but had to leave earlier than breakfast time to catch flight so cannot comment.
The hotel is situated in beautiful grounds, had a lovely evening drink in the gardens,
Room was a little small up in the roof area but did not feel claustrophobic, Asked for a quiet room it was.

Cons:

Possibly , a cold breakfast that can be served myself. ie cereal, toast coffee available for early leavers but did not really bother me to much

Cons:

I didn't enjoy the food,tried breakfast I would say it was very poor ,tried dinner twice scampi was nice first time,then tried the curry really bad my daughter was actually sick with second mouth full. Seemed like the curry sauce was from a jar could taste the grit pricey too for in my opinion cheap ingredients. I have been to this hotel on a few occasions but since it has been taken over I wouldn't book again unless I had the car to eat elsewhere. Is

Die Atmosphäre im Hotel war sehr schön. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Cons:

Essen war durchschnittlich. Bei unserem Aufenthalt ein Jahr zuvor waren wir vom Essen begeistert. Anscheinend hat der Koch gewechselt - Schade!

Acceptable, dissapointed that the bar was closed at 10:30 pm
Pros:

Price good for time of year.

Cons:

Room had 3 buckets on the window with a large sheet placed on top of them, no idea why they were there, Bar closes at 10:30 pm bar staff told us that we could order drink through the night porter, night porter declined and said against hotel policy to serve drinks to people staying in the hotel. There wear at least 10 people wishing to stay in the bar but went to bed instead.

Lovely stay all round - great food, wonderful leisure facilities and a v nice room too.
Pros:

The room was spacious and comfortable. All the staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. the food is great, we ate there 3 x - good varied menu choices, excellent wine and quality of food at great prices. The steak and venison were very tasty and healthy. The leisure facilities are excellent - a brilliant gym and pool and weren't too busy. The location is v good too, we did a lovely walk right outside the hotel into the countryside, using well maintained footpaths.

Best place ever
Pros:

Been back 3 times in the last 3 months, just back home tonight and again could not fault a single thing! The staff are excellent. Dale even came up to the room and he helped us down stairs with the bags to the car, a true asset to the hotel. I could never stay anywhere again when coming back to my homeland... thank you from out hearts. Anni, Stuart and Percy
