Het hotel is prachtig gesitueerd en straalt een bepaalde charme en uit die hoort bij dit soort locaties. Vanuit de locatie zijn Versailles (6 km) en Parijs prima bereikbaar met de auto en OV.
Het hotel heeft geen lift, maar het personeel biedt aan om je te helpen met je koffer.
De kamers zijn heel ruim en netjes ingericht in een stijl die past bij een herberg. Er zijn een TV, kluis, ijskast, ventilator en strijkijzer beschikbaar. De wifi werkt goed en ook 5G is bereikbaar. De kamer zelf ruikt wat muffig, maar met het raam dat uitzicht geeft op de binnenplaats is dat zo verholpen. Door dat ene raam is de kamer vrij donker.
Er ontbreekt airco in de kamer. En bij een warme zomer zoals in 2026 is een ventilator niet voldoende.
Ook de badkamer is netjes en van alle gemakken voorzien.
Het restaurant is betaalbaar en van ruim voldoende kwaliteit. Ontbijt voor €18 is wel wat prijzig.
Het hotel beschikt over een oplaadpunt voor een EV en op basis van de oplaadtijd vermoedelijk 22kwh.
Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en reageert snel op vragen. Aan de receptie wordt ook Engels gesproken.
Een airco toevoegen lijkt met heel hete zomers geen overbodige luxe.
Absence de moustiquaire, j'ai dû fermer en urgence la fenêtre pour empêcher un frelon d'entrer dans la chambre.
Pas de place ds la douche pour se tenir debout(sous les toits)

- prix du petit déjeuner ( non inclus dans le prix de la chambre )
- service du dîner pas à la hauteur du prix : réservation pour huit personnes un dimanche soir (peu de fréquentation) et c'est avec une table ronde de grand diamètre et une table rectangulaire mises bout à bout que nous sommes reçus. Donc les convives sur la table ronde sont en retrait par rapport aux autres et ne se voient pas !
- Une seule carte pour 8 personnes pour choisir les apéritifs.
Pas de climatisation dans la chambre.
Bon emplacement géographique et accueil agréable.

Le mobilier un peu vieillissant
I stayed in July 2026 during a heatwave. Unfortunately, the experience completely fails to meet the standard of comfort you would expect from a 4-star establishment.
1) No Air Conditioning. The only way to cool down the sweltering room is to open the windows in the evening.
2) The feature of the stay is the nearby lake. But because the windows do not have screens, opening them immediately invites mosquitoes in, which one might guess will happen if you build near a lake. The only alternative provided was a loud and completely ineffective (at +36C inside) fan, making sleep nearly impossible. I specifically ordered a calm room, but ended up trying to get asleep at +36C deg with earplugs (because the fan was loud), what an irony.
3) The fridge was broken, but ok it happens. The bad news it happened to be critical equipment in the summer, which should have been checked by the hotel.
4) The decor and furniture are heavily dated. The actual room feels much closer to a basic 2-star budget motel than a premium hotel. Oh, and they will ask you your credit card in the case you damage their wooden bed or whatever.
5) Overall cleanliness was difficult to assess, as a saw hair inside 'new' towels, hair in the sink (someone's shaving), otherwise I had no choice but to trust it had been cleaned before.
6) The breakfast was good, nothing to complain.
When I wrote to them regarding these issues asking to refund, their response was condescending and unapologetic. The management hid behind administrative loopholes regarding their star rating. Apparently, in France, if you put a wooden bed and have fresh juice for the breakfast, it somehow lets you omit the equipment required to meet what is known as "4 stars".
If you are paying for 4-star comfort (or looking to get some sleep at all), look elsewhere—especially during the summer months. Like, literally every other 3-star hotel in Yvelines is equipped with an A/C.
