Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in einem tollen Hotel.
Pros:

Uns hat die schöne und ruhige Lage des Hotels und die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet. Der direkte Meerblick war toll.
Ganz besonders hat uns das Frühstücks- und Abendbuffet gefallen. Es gab eine sehr große Auswahl mit guter Qualität. Das Highlight war für uns das Abendessen im Strandrestaurant.

Cons:

Die Liegestühle auf unserem Balkon und auch am Strand sind einfach und könnten komfortabler sein.

- la vue mer exceptionnelle
- la grande piscine est magnifique
- les accueils à la réception et au bar
- le surclassement et le geste fait sur le repas du soir

Cons:

- pas de changements de serviettes, ni mise a disposition de serviettes de plages
- qualité du petit déjeuner perfectible dans un cadre plutôt cantine avec la vue certes mais enfermé (dommage !)

המלון מדהים, חדרים גדולים, מרפסת ענקית עם נוף משגע לים, המלון נקי ומסודר. האוכל מגוון וטעים מאוד ! אנשי הצוות במלון אדיבים, שירותיים וחייכניים, דאגו לכל בקשה שלנו. חוף הים פשוט חלומי, החוף נקי, המון מיטות חוף ככה שלא צריך לריב או לתפוס מקום מראש ויש מקום לכולם. אנחנו מרוצים מהמלון מאוד ובטוחים שנחזור שוב בקרוב!!!!

We had a wonderful week, Istron Bay Hotel is an absolute gem.
Pros:

Everything about our stay at Istron Bay Hotel was exceptional! From the moment we arrived we were treated as welcome guests and not just clients. Odesseas, in particular, was friendly and engaging and helped make our week at Istron Bay Hotel magical! He makes us want to book another visit next year!
The food is incredible, I HIGHLY recommend choosing the breakfast and dinner option.
The views are stunning, the rooms are beautiful and clean, the bed was comfortable.
You won’t be disappointed!

Four star hotel in a five star location.
Pros:

The hotel is in a fabulous location in a beautiful bay with scenic views across to Agios Nikolaos - much better than anything we saw in Elounda which we had also considered staying at. We're very glad we chose Istron Bay instead, though the hotel is quite isolated, so having a small rental car was an asset. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and although it's quite a large hotel it had a welcoming kind of family feeling - Odysseus especially was always checking if we were enjoying ourselves and needed anything. Martin at the front desk was also very helpful.
The swimming pool is excellent and got good sunshine all day long in October despite being built on the north side of the main building. It was a very relaxing place to stay. The sandy private beach is quite a long way down, so with my wife's restricted movement we stayed by the pool instead. But we could see from above that the sea has a very gradual shelf, so it's ideal for children to play in.

Cons:

We stayed on half board and although the food was plentiful at both breakfast and dinner, the choice was rather unimaginative and geared more towards the predominantly German clientele. More Greek dishes and fresh fish would have been welcome.

נוף עוצר נשימה מכל חדר במלון, מפרץ יפהפה ופסטורלי, בריכה מפנקת וחוף פרטי מאובזר, שירות חם ולבבי, מענה לכל בעיה שצצה, כולל רפואית.

Cons:

האוכל לעיתים טעון שיפור, יש מגוון, אך לא תמיד איכותי. תקלות פה ושם עם השירותים והמקלחת. חבל שאין בחדרים אפשרות להכנת משקה חם, היה בהחלט משדרג את השהות.

Absolute disappointment !!!
Pros:

View from the balcony.

Cons:

Very old hotel. Sewer problems. Low water pressure in dark bathroom. In the room and corridor there is a smell of sewage.
From the neighboring balcony, the room is fully visible and there is no sense of personal space.
Old dirty furniture. The mattress is not comfortable. Grey bed linen and towels. Internet access not stable.
And on top of all this, we met a bug in the room.

Séjour agréable + reposant dans hôtel confortable
Pros:

Nous avons retrouvé l’hôtel bien rénové et très propre y compris la plage privée qui est nettoyée tous les matins si nécessaire.
Le personnel très chaleureux à la salle à manger et aux bars et le même depuis des années.
L’accueil à la réception est très sympa en plusieurs langues.

Cons:

La toiture et les écoulements du toits devraient être améliorés pour éviter des inondations en cas de gros orages comme nous en avons vécu un.

Die Anlage ist äußerst praktisch aufgebaut und schön angelegt, z.B. saubere Toiletten am Strand und auch gute Strandduschen. Von überall hat man einen fantastischen Ausblick auf die herrliche Istron Bay mit ihrem türkisblauen Wasser. Das Essen, sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen war durchweg lecker und von hoher Qualität. Vor allem freuten wir uns über viele landestypischen Spezialitäten. Bei jedem Essen konnte man etwas Neues kosten oder auf etwas Bewährtes zurückgreifen. Die Bedienungen waren
super freundlich und zuvorkommend!
Unser Zimmer gehörte nicht zu den renovierten Räumen, aber es hat für uns seinen Zweck erfüllt. Es war praktisch gelegen und hatte eine Terrasse mit top Aussicht. Der Salzwasserpool war gut für die Kinder zum spielen und für die täglich Aquafitness. Kompliment auch dem rund um die Uhr anwesenden sehr netten Animateur! Er kümmert sich unaufdringlich aber einladend um seine Gäste und bietet jeden Abend ein unterhaltsames Programm! Danke für den tollen Urlaub!

Cons:

Leider schwimmt bei viel Wind und Wellen jede Menge Plastikmüll im ansonsten glasklaren Meer. Das ist so traurig, dass die Abfallwirtschaft nicht funktioniert. Da kann das Hotel nichts dafür. Im Gegenteil: Der fleißige Mann am Strand hat sein Bestes gegeben, um all den Müll zu beseitigen.
Oft zog der Zigarettenqualm aus Nachbarbalkonen zu uns herein. Schade!
