I will say one of the best hotel in town of Doha Qatar either for family trips or business.
High quality rooms, great dinners, and good entertainments like gym, spa.
Hotel staffs are very friendly and trustable place to spend our holidays.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before our onward travel to Thailand, therefore it was fit for purpose, close to Hamad International Airport the Hotel provided excellent Complimentary Airport Shuttle Bus every one hour. This was a great service from the hotel. All in all the hotel met our requirements.

Room was cleaned perfectly, neat and fresh. Great attention to detail by Shahid. Really appreciate the effort—thank you!

All the team have provided a 5 star service on every day of my stay at the hotel. A special
thanks to the room lady Rosamond who is always very pleasant and keeps my room spotlessly clean.
The hotel staff have all been pushed to their max with the hotel being busy with offshore evacuation personnel and tourists waiting on their repatriation flights but they have all just took it in their stride.

Located on old airport road right at the Center of city. Has a metro station nearby.
Hotel is quite clean & well maintained. The hotel staff including front office, restaurant staff & the cleaning crew are very polite & service oriented.

Room cleaning staff were totally professional & commend Mr Ilango who was deputed for our wing rendered a good job with his pleasant attitude.

There are a few restaurants serving authentic local cuisines.
Only one con i faced: As far as Indian vegetarian food is concerned, the hotel did provide some and there is more room for betterment. On the bright side, there is an Indian restaurant chain (Only Coffee) that serves pure vegetarian food located right near the hotel.

We will remember our week at the Hyatt Regency Oryx in Doha forever. It is quite an achievement that even in the horrible circumstances of being stranded in Doha during an unexpected war, the staff at this hotel played a huge role in ensuring that we in fact left with warm memories of community and camaraderie that we will keep in our hearts. We came to the hotel after flying in from Colombo, when our connecting flight home from Doha to London got cancelled due to the beginning of the international crisis. After a night flight and spending the whole day at the airport waiting, we were exhausted but we were quickly given a room at the Hyatt and greeted with a warm, delicious Ramadan buffet for dinner at the Choices restaurant. It was a relief to be in a large, professional, beautiful hotel which was immaculately clean, with a comfortable bed and nice showers after this ordeal. We did not know how long we would be staying, and it turned out to be for 1 week. In the unexpected circumstances faced by the hotel of suddenly having the hotel completely full with stranded passengers, the staff remained patient, kind, understanding and sympathetic. They were very supportive, answered all our questions, continued to extend our stay without issue and reassured us constantly about our safety. They never appeared to be frustrated or stressed about everything that they suddenly needed to handle.

When the government brought in the programme to cover the costs of our accommodation and meals, the hotel staff had an adjustment period but then were very kind in giving us a refund for the next 3 nights which we had already pre-paid for. They looked for us all over the hotel and called us multiple times to tell us we had been refunded. They immediately supplied plentiful food in 3 large complimentary buffets each day. As we couldn’t really leave the hotel, these 3 meals became the main structure of our days for a whole week. They became a wonderful space where we would meet with other guests, make friends, share support, tips and information. The staff were very accommodating to people’s dietary requirements even in these stressful times. Amidst everything, guests were still able to get massages and treatments at the spa and salon, use the gym and pool, etc, and everyone sat in the Sky Lounge and garden every day to work, chat and play cards. Our daily gym and swim sessions really helped to pass the time, and we were very grateful to be in a hotel with outside areas and great facilities. We couldn’t get our luggage from the airport from the whole week, so we had no clothes, toiletries or entertainment. It was great to have a shop in the hotel, and it’s in a great location that there was a great pharmacy, clothes shop and supermarket only 5 minutes walk away so we didn’t put ourselves at risk by going out. The hotel was great at bringing almost any toiletries that we requested from their cosmetics menu to our door, free of charge, which was a lifesaver.

One day in particular stands out which really showed the excellence and attention to detail of this hotel. We had a couple of hours of particularly intense bombardment when Doha came under rocket fire. The blasts were extremely close to us and we sheltered in the basement where we were taken care of by the staff. When we came back up into the hotel, even in such circumstances, our lunch buffet was still being served (which was much appreciated because we were all hungry and tired). Afterwards, in our rooms, everyone had a bundle of cookies and a note of support and sympathy waiting for them. It was a very kind and thoughtful touch, and made the hotel feel like a supportive environment and a community in which we were all going through this experience together. We were lucky enough to have been placed on the first flight to leave Doha, at 8am on 7th March. A staff member phoned our room at 1am and told us to pack up and be ready in 2hrs. We didn’t get a chance to properly say goodbye to the hotel and express our immense gratitude for how well we were taken care of and how safe we were made to feel.

It is really quite something that even in our joy and relief to be able to fly out of a warzone and get home safely, we were still a little sad to say bye to the hotel, all the friends we made there, the delicious buffets, the comfortable beds, the lovely pool etc. In what could have been a very traumatising experience, thanks to the Hyatt’s amazing staff, it became a time where we experienced the best of human kindness and care. Thank you so much for everything.

Due to airspace restrictions, my stay here was unexpected. However, the kindness of the staff made the experience truly pleasant. Everyone was very welcoming, and the meals prepared each day were delicious and thoughtfully served.

We stay here during the Iran War. Amidst the situation, everything was perfect. All staffs from all departments are nice and helpful. Staff Konok and Bagus were also very helpful during our stay.

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the entire hotel staff. Despite the incredibly difficult situation that everyone was facing (Conflict February 28th 2026), they never stopped making us feel welcomed, supported, listened to, and completely comfortable.

Even though the situation outside the hotel, in the country, was extremely tense, inside the hotel we always felt safe and cared for. The staff showed extraordinary patience and truly did everything they could to make our stay as peaceful as possible during such a delicate moment.

They worked extra hours and made constant efforts to coordinate with airlines and follow government directives regarding guests who were stranded in Doha due to the closure of air traffic. Their organization, precision, availability, and support were constant, 24 hours a day.

The breakfasts and dinners were incredibly generous and delicious, room service was impeccable, and the rooms were always perfectly clean. They even took care of our safety when, due to external alerts, we had to move to the underground parking area.

In such a difficult and sensitive situation, they remained both highly professional and deeply empathetic. I truly felt treated with kindness and care, and they helped me feel calmer and more at ease despite the chaos caused by the geopolitical situation at the time.

I sincerely hope I will have the opportunity to return one day, because every single person working there deserves the highest appreciation. Thank you for everything. ❤️🙏🏻

During this unprecedented time of tension in the region ( war) , the hotel staff has been outstanding in supporting and accommodating passengers stranded in Qatar.
