Would book again, highly recommend.
Pros:

We spent three nights at the Grand Hotel, good location for exploring the local area. Excellent facilities at the hotel. Our room was modern and very comfortable. We ate in the hotel restaurant each night and enjoyed lovely food in a great atmosphere. All the hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great visit.

Pros:

Fresh and good choices.
On check in Bobby was most helpful in changing room to a lower floor to lessen the stairs and assistance was given with suitcases.

Lovely central location that is perfect for exploring the ara
Pros:

A lovely central location within walking distance of many local amenities as Tralee is a charming town. Excellent staff that were very helpful and responded promptly to all requests. Very comfortable quiet room and being able to avail of a parking permit was handy, given there's no onsite parking at the hotel. The included breakfast was very filling and being able to customize your order was a nice touch. The decor of the hotel is gorgeous especially the foyer and the residents lounge on the first floor is also a lovely facility though I didn't have time to use it!

Cons:

The food in the onsite restaurant was lovely, but very expensive so we only ate there on one of the nights. Instead, we went to Quinlan's around the corner, which has fabulous seafood with the option to eat in or take away and is excellent value. There was no water available in the room so I had to fill my own water bottle at the breakfast buffet. Also, in my experience, it's the first time that a hotel room didn't have a box of tissues. I appreciate that the reduction in consumables is for sustainability purposes, but it's always handy to have tissues.

There was the footprint of a bath but sadly, no bath. While the shower pressure was good, the fixed shower head isn't practical when you're short and would be completely impractical for children. While the bed itself was very comfortable, the duvet was quite heavy for the time of year so I ended up sleeping on top of it as the room was very warm and there was no air conditioning. Also, the coffee wasn't nice at all; I always drink mine black, but the brand used had no flavour. There is no lift, which didn't bother me, but for elderly guests, those with difficulty walking, or for parent with baby buggies, I imagine that the stairs would pose a challenge.

Great venue in a great town.
Pros:

The staff and manager were exceptional. The power went out for the whole town. We were looked after very well and they made sure it was not a dampener on our journey. Couldn’t have done more for us.

Pros:

Central location, quality hotel with traditional feel and excellent breakfast

Nothing we didn’t like. Only stayed one night. There was no lift but that was fine for us

Das Zimmer war sehr groß und ordentlich. Das Bad war auch sehr groß, mit zwei Waschbecken. Das Frühstück gut.

Cons:

Das Zimmer wirkte durch die Größe etwas kahl. Vielleicht hätten Bilder an der Wand oder Deko geholfen.

Très bien accueilli, un petit bémol, il n'y a pas d'ascenseur ( on peut demander a se que l'on nous monte les bagages ). L'hôtel est très bien placé, près du centre ville.

Great stay in a beautiful old hotel.
Pros:

A terrific renovated room in a grand old hotel. Room was wonderful - lovely linens. Breakfast included was great - perfectly done eggs (hard to find). All the staff we dealt with were wonderful - especially the two women at the reception desk - friendly, helpful and fun! Love this hotel!

Cons:

The towels were a little small for such an upscale place.
