Pros:

The location was located on 1 of the main arterial roads of the city. This made it easy to obtain Grab taxis. Lots of restaurants can be found short walks away. Only grocery stores, mini marts were a longer distance to get to.

The room was large, clean. A/C worked well. Water pressure and hot water were good for the shower. Daily cleaning replenished the water bottles, coffee, tea.

Cons:

Not much to complain about.

There were cockroaches everywhere, staff were rude . In an empty 8 floor hotel they put in a room next to the laundry/cleaning supplies room which the staff spend the day sleeping and resting in . As a solo female traveler it was unsettling to be stairs at by the male cleaners every time I left the room . The location was so so .

BOOKING.COM you have scammed and robbed me not only this you have now cost me a significant amount in other costs as a result of your awful customer service/ complaints team you have passed me from pillar to post promised refunds and never actually honored your refund just as for the same information again again and again. And today you have advised me to call a number which turns out to be ai operated and advised me back to the Website what a total mess this has been I highly advise against using this booking service unless you are a fan of financial loss and severe stress and repetitive ignorance.

The stat was perfect guys ‘NEW YORK HOTEL’ is the hotel for $20 budget

Nothing not to like at this price range couldn’t ask for better, big clean rooms, lovely lobby on entry multiple lifts,smart tv and walk in shower in some rooms plus the security are ace not sure what they secure but there lovely lads 😂

The fact BOOKING.COM have ignored multiple emails pushed me from pillar to post in regards to x3 charges to my card with no booking in exchange I’ve had to write nearly 20 emails and yet still today is 10/06 this issue was on 25/5 and I’m still get auto replies or the same copy and pasted email from a agent with no progress made at all towards my riding never mind the fact this meant going to a atm paying there fee , my bank fee and then double to pay the night room at reception. BOOKING.COM I have the complete email trail of disaster and I will be using my online following to tarnish your name if this issue is not resolved promptly. At this very moment you have stolen my funds and also caused me unnecessary travel cost,atm feee,exchange fee and inflated walk-in cost at the hotel.

The pictures on this app are misleading! From the pics, the hotel looks high end. However, the rooms are very basic. An AI app must have been used on pics. :( Also… Poor WiFi. Hot water ran out quickly when showering. A cockroach was spotted in the restroom. Water leaked around tub when showering and wet the bathroom floor.

Excellent Reception Team, but Housekeeping Needs Improvement
Pros:

The room itself was nice, and the bed was spacious and very comfortable. Despite being close to the lift, the location of the room made it easy to access. The standout feature of my stay was the reception team, especially the afternoon shift staff. They were consistently friendly, welcoming, and professional, always greeting me warmly when I returned to the hotel and helping to make my stay more enjoyable.

Cons:

Unfortunately, Room 601 is located very close to the lift, so there was quite a bit of noise from guests coming and going throughout the day and evening. I also experienced an issue with the bathroom, as water leaked around the bathtub due to the lack of proper sealing along the walls.
The biggest disappointment was the housekeeping service. Despite requesting a bedsheet change after three nights, it was never done. The bathroom was not properly cleaned during my stay, with housekeeping mainly replacing towels. I also noticed small cockroaches in the bathroom on several occasions. While I reported these concerns to reception, the housekeeping lady appeared uninterested in addressing them. Her attitude came across as rude and dismissive, and it felt as though she did not appreciate feedback regarding the cleanliness issues. This was disappointing and had a negative impact on my overall experience.
