Pros:

Nos tocó la habitación 102 y esta a pie de playa, pero por culpa del sargazo no esta tan bien, aunque no es culpa del hotel. En general esta bien y con un desayuno incluido muy rico y variado.

Cons:

La señal del celular se pierde muy fuerte dentro de la habitación y el Internet falla demasiado y la televisión es muy pequeña para el precio. Arreglen la señal del Internet y una pantalla grande.. y será mejor el lugar

Die Lage direkt am Strand ist grundsätzlich toll. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett (vor allem die Männer im Restaurant, wo es auch das Frühstück gibt, waren super freundlich). Das Frühstück war auch klasse und die Portionen und der Service spitze 🤩

Cons:

Leider hat das Hotel bzw. PDC aktuell große Probleme mit Sargassum/Seegrass. Man konnte nicht ins Wasser und in der kompletten Anlage hat es so stark gestunken, dass es leider kaum aushaltbar war. Wir wissen natürlich, dass das Hotel nur eingeschränkt etwas machen kann.. aber da es keinen Pool gibt, mussten wir in teure Beach Clubs ausweichen um uns abzukühlen und sind aufgrund des Geruchs dann auch zwei Tage früher abgereist..

Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber trotzdem in Ordnung. Plastikliegen am Strand sind auch etwas runtergekommen, aber wäre (wenn das Seegras und der Geruch nicht gewesen wäre) für uns auch halb so wild…

Struttura sita in ottima posizione, praticamente una via laterale delle Quinta Avenida! Nonostante la vicinanza a questa zona ricca di movida, l'hotel era estremamente silenzioso e non si sentiva nessuno schiamazzo. Personale gentilissimo e colazione (noi abbiamo scelto sempre le opzioni messicane) molto buona. Le camere venivano fatte ogni giorno. Abbiamo trovato il sargasso solo il giorno della partenza, ma questo non dipende dall'hotel! Eventualmente si può andare a Cozumel: anche il porto è facilmente raggiungibile a piedi! Camere spaziose.

Pros:

Os funcionários são muito amáveis e educados. A localização do hotel é perfeita.
Foi uma pena haver muito sargaço, por isso não aproveitamos a praia. Não é culpa do hotel, não há nada que se possa fazer.

Cons:

O banheiro do nosso quarto precisa de reforma (vários azulejos quebrados e o chuveiro goteja).
Achei os colchões muito moles, resultando em dores nas costas.
As cortinas não são escuras o suficiente, então eu acordava muito cedo por causa da claridade.
Não há isolamento acústico entre o quarto e o corredor, então toda vez que alguém passava em frente ao nosso quarto, eu ouvia tudo nitidamente.

Great hotel right on the beach in downtown Playa del Carmen
Pros:

This hotel is right on the beach and is near everything you could need in downtown Playa del Carmen. The room was big and clean and we had a lovely terrace with table and chairs and two sunbeds. All of the staff were lovely and happy to help. Right outside the hotel are bars, convenience shops and restaurants. The hotel is a 5/10 minute walk to the ADO bus station that takes you to Cancun airport in an hour in modern, air conditioned buses. Don't waste your money on a taxi unless you're a big group. We bought our ADO bus tickets at cancun airport when we arrived and it was a fraction of the price of a taxi. Ubers aren't an option from the airport due to local laws and/or local tensions between taxi drivers and uber drivers.

That we had to leave!

Les sargasses, l'hôtel n'est pas responsable on peut comprendre, néanmoins les odeurs dans la chambre toute la nuit peut être liées également à la climatisation que nous avons dû arrêter dans la nuit pour utiliser uniquement le ventilateur.
Le petit déjeuner le pire jamais eu..

Unclean rooms and malfunctioning shower

Cons:

We booked a stay from 9–13 June but checked out after the first night due to multiple issues with the accommodation.

Upon arrival, the first room we were assigned was not properly cleaned. There were hair strands on the floor and on the bed, and the floor had visible stains that appeared to be old spills that had not been cleaned. After we complained, the hotel moved us to a second room.

The second room was somewhat cleaner, but it still did not meet the standard expected of a hotel room. More importantly, the shower had almost no water pressure. We reported this to the front desk and a staff member was sent to fix it. The solution was simply to open a hidden water valve under the sink. While this improved the cold-water flow, the hot water remained insufficient.

After using the shower, the water continued dripping continuously. The only way to stop the noise was to manually close the valve under the sink. This meant having to repeatedly operate the valve whenever we wanted to use the shower or bathroom facilities. I do not expect to crawl under a sink to manage plumbing issues during a hotel stay.

Because of the cleanliness problems in the first room and the plumbing issues in the second room, we decided to check out after the first night and stay elsewhere.

Unfortunately, the experience became even more frustrating when discussing the refund. The hotel stated that they could not refund the unused nights because the reservation had been paid through Booking.com and that I should request the refund through Booking.com instead. They also refused to refund the tourism fee paid at check-in. When I asked why, the front desk employee said only that a refund was not possible and could not provide any explanation, stating that she had spoken to someone and had been told it could not be refunded.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience.
