Good cleaning of rooms, nice location, unsatisfactory breakfast

Clean rooms, good and central location, parking availability by the hotel staff

Cons:

Personnel is not quite welcoming except minority, missing smiley and kind faces. Nobody said welcome when we entered hotel.
Breakfast varieties are adequate however taste is not a satisfactory turkish meal taste. Same material could be used to prepare more delicious meal.

Run-down, noisy, and unpleasant-smelling room
Pros:

I stayed at this hotel for one night, and it was by far the worst experience of my three-week trip around Turkey, during which I stayed in numerous hotels in both major cities and smaller, more remote towns. I genuinely cannot understand how this property can be rated as a five-star hotel.
We were initially given a smoking room, even though we had not requested one and were not informed that it was a smoking room. The stale smell of cigarette smoke was unbearable. We asked to change rooms, and the reception staff - who were polite and helpful - assigned us another one. Unfortunately, the situation did not improve; if anything, it became worse. The second room had an overwhelming sewage smell coming from the bathroom, possibly due to blocked drains. The water drained extremely slowly from both the sink and the shower, and the smell permeated the entire room. I cannot say whether it was connected to the hotel, but both my partner and I felt unwell for an entire day after our stay. As we had not eaten or drunk the same things, food did not seem to be the cause.
The hotel is also located on a very busy road, right next to an intersection. The rooms - at least the two we experienced—have virtually no soundproofing. Even with the windows fully closed, the traffic noise was extremely loud and constant.
The entire property feels dated and poorly maintained. The lifts do not require a key card, meaning that anyone can access any floor. Perhaps this explains the rather excessive security measures at the entrance, including a metal detector and a security guard permanently stationed there.
Overall, this was an experience I would never wish to repeat and a hotel I cannot recommend.
