If there is a place full of dull with high prices and amd sense of isolation then this is your best bet
Pros:

Cons:

Moody evening staff. Customers- bunch of blokes swearing constantly using foul language before every adjective

It is such a shame that he hotel is not used more as it clearly has the potential to be really good
Pros:

The breakfast was alright but it would have been better if there had been coffee or tea per table because using just one pot meant that my tea was cold.

Cons:

The hotel could look more attractive perhaps with a coat of white paint over the brickwork, also a garden with be an advantage especially if weddings are held there.

Delightful hotel
Pros:

Staff, facilities, food, Location near to Dorchester without being too expensive. Very clean inside, comfortable rooms, good facilities. Staff were welcoming, friendly and happy to help, and got us an iron and board literally within 5 minutes of asking! The food was delicious- a great tasting ragù and the steak my husband had was cooked perfectly.

Cons:

We were a bit unsure what to expect when we arrived as the carpark was gravel, no specific spaces per say and it looked a bit unkempt. However, when we were told about the expansion plans that were halted during Covid 2020, and the spa renovation it made more sense. Please do not let this put you off this lovely hotel. The cover is not the book!

Perfect overnight stay, close to Weymouth or Somerset.
Pros:

Welcoming reception staff. Large, comfortable family room.

Cons:

Welcoming and warm atmosphere. Restaurant staff were also really friendly and accommodating. Good menu.

Weekend Break
Pros:

The rooms were very quiet and peaceful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of car parking

Cons:

Hotel is quite dated, a bit like stepping back into the 80s. Location is also pretty poor. We appeared to be in the middle of nowhere with no chance to walk anywhere

Pros:

The location for me is ideal. The staff are pleasant and attentive.

Cons:

I found the bathroom door difficult to deal with. I accept the need for a door closer on the main door, but I'm not sure about the need for one on the bathroom door. The GA is the only hotel I've stayed at has one fitted to a bathroom door.

Brilliant
Pros:

The room was well above that expected and the hotel was very clean and well presented throughout. Food was excellent and we did have one night in the restaurant.

Pros:

The receptionist who greeted us was very welcoming and helpful All the staff were friendly
Clean comfortable room and great shower Really lovely homemade granola for breakfast

Cons:

The coffee and tea at beeakfast were not great, could have done with much hotter water and a coffee machine

Fantastic long weekend - will go back
Pros:

Comfy large rooms
Parking & outside area to sit
Lovely restaurant and bar - food was fantastic
The sea is about 25 min away

Cons:

Outside a little dated but not a problem
Spa / pool no longer there - we didn’t know this when booked
