Ok but could have been better.
Pros:

Clean linen, carpets and furnishings.

Cons:

Bathroom could have been cleaner and the shower tray was blocked and draining very slowly so had to turn off shower for water to drain and then continue showering.

very noisy ventilation system starting at 6:30 am, impossible to continue sleeping
the noise went on for the rest of our stay... the owner did not know it was so disturbing up there...


expected the pub to be open in evening as well, but it was closed for renovations...would have been nice to be mentioned on the booking.com website 😒

Pros:

Nice and clean, friendly staff and helpful. Breakfast fresh and cooked to order. Easy to find.

Cons:

Parking spaces were very tight, was concerned my car would be hit. Starting to look a bit dated, although very clean and well looked after.

Absolutely fantastic stay here - Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, parking, great location, friendly staff, lovely Breakfast. We didn't want to leave. Will definitely be staying here again. A+++++

The location was good and parking availability a great bonus. Breakfast was good and staff helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Property looks tired in certain areas. The bathroom I had was not very nice. The toilet looked dirty and the grouting in the shower looked mouldy. WiFi was not very good.

Ideal location(for us) but…….
Pros:

The location was ideal for our visit the following day.

Cons:

Where do we start……although there were free car parking available, they were incredibly tight and limited.
The partitioning door between the first and second floor accommodation is one of the strangest things we’ve come across, the door starts off closing slowly then as it gets to the end of its travel it turns into an aircraft air lock and decides to slam shut so hard that the bedroom doors upstairs rattle LOUDLY in their frames. This happened multiple times during the night as some of the nocturnal guests decided to walk around the property. This caused us not to be able to get any decent amount of sleep until almost 5am!
After having read previous reviews we had high hopes for our stay, however having stayed at the Cornerhouse we cannot seem to correlate any of the reviews with this property. I am left wondering if previous guests are indeed referring to this particular guesthouse.
To use the term “B&B” is quite a stretch as we did not sleep much at all.
