Lovely room with a few niggles
Pros:

Balcony and Bath amazing. The room spacious and beautiful, slept very well.

Cons:

Bathroom a little small and a few niggles that they fixed (Safe didn't work, bath didn't drain, aircon didn't work etc)

Sumptuous vibe, the staff were informed that this was our honeymoon, no reaction to this.

Cons:

Our room had a smell of urine, the coffee table had brass banding which was sharp and coming away. We were next to some sort of heat pump or similar it came on and off all of our stay. The decor was tired, chipped, dented and banged about. Along the side of the bath panel was black mould/dirt.

I chose this hotel for it's location and we wanted a bit of luxury while in London. First impressions weren't good as I struggled up the front steps with 2 x heavy suitcases, there were no staff to help at all.
We only went to our room very late on arrival (we had been at Chelsea Flower Show all day and then had a meal out locally which we had pre-booked). We were shown to a top floor room and had no explanation of facilities. The room had very tired decor and a very hard bed but main complaint was the bathroom stank of sewage. on flushing the toilet, the sink and shower made bubbling noises. The room was baking hot and we tried to get the AC to work. As it was now middle of the night, we were baking hot and the bathroom smell was now unbearable (literally couldn't go in there) we managed to open the windows but were horrified that there were no safety bars as sills were low and it was a sheer drop to street below. Very worrying. We left at 5am. The only good thing was that they did refund all our money. Very disappointing though.
