The peace and quiet - it truly felt like an oasis.
Very very hot water - great for having a bath (fill bath and allow to cool) but almost too hot for a shower.
We liked the beautiful garden (but apply insect repellent for mosquitoes).
On the day of our departure, Ivan kindly let us put our luggage in storage and relax in the garden during the afternoon.
We ate in the hotel once and enjoyed the food (pleasantly surprised after reading some other reviews) although it was a bit more expensive than equivalent restaurants in town.
The flip side of the peace and quiet and beautiful garden was that we needed to taxi back and forth into town.

It is a very quiet location and the gardens are nice. There was a nice lounge area to read in. Nice pool area although we didn't use it.
The bathrooms are a little run down and didn't feel very clean - most surfaces in the room felt sticky. We are used to excellent and very friendly service in Peru (we live here) but check in was very impersonal and we did not really feel very welcome.

Der Koch war der einzigste der zuerst da war … der war lieb.
Dann kam eine Frau und noch ein schlimmerer Mann . Beide extrem uninteressiert und nicht freundlich. Ich bin nicht empfindlich aber das war zuviel. Eigentlich ging die Buchung gar nicht durch ?? Erst eine Stunde später kam eine Bestätigung… da waren wir tatsächlich schon weitergefahren.
Schade für die schöne Anlage ☹️
