Convient location, friendly staff, and although parts of hotel were updated it still felt a little dated.
Pros:

The location across from Kyoto Station made it easy to get to various parts of the city. Lots of food choices at the station and within quick walking distance. The staff was always friendly, cheerful and helpful. Wide a variety of food for breakfast buffet.

Cons:

While it does appear to have gotten a facelift, the bones of the place feel dated. Don’t get me wrong, it was clean and tidy but not getting the a/c to cool the room down made it feel a little muggy and made it challenging to sleep comfortably. I also didn’t expect to pay an additional Kyoto city tax upon checkin. It was about $20 USD extra for our 4 night stay. Sadly there were no laundry facilities on site which we really needed.

Excelente localização, perto de uma Family Mart, Estação de Kyoto e centros comerciais. Preço acessível. Hotel bom e quarto confortável.

Amazing convenient Location, comfortable beds, NO Vegetarian options
Pros:

Exactly in front of Kyoto Station - a major advantage. There is an underpass just at the hotel doorstep with a huge shopping area in the underground (including a Disney Store). The bed and mattresses were great and we had nice sleep after roaming around the entire day. We stayed for 4 days and everyday the starting point (train or bus) were just infront of the hotel. This saved us lot of time.

This was the only hotel in our Japan trip which did not separately charge the breakfast for child and honored the exact booking conditions. Thanks for this.

The inhouse milkshakes at the hotel breakfast are amazing.

Cons:

The property is pretty old. The AC in the room doesnot cool the entire room because the vents are in the room entrance passage. So the passage is cool but the room doesnot get cool enough.

For this property also absolutely NO vegetarian options. Thankfully the french fries here were atleast vegetarian. So again an advice to my Indian Vegetarians - please donot book the breakfast option.

Request to Hotel - Please consider having atleast 1 or 2 Indian vegetarian options in you lavish "International Menu".

Inspite of room being available, no early check-in provided.

During check in an extra charge (City tax) was levied inspite of the booking payment already done (which included all taxes and charges). I raised this issue with Booking.com but inspite of now more than 1 week their "within 48 hours" response is still awaited.

It was excellent choice for us. Location-Very convenient , and close to the station. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff are incredibly kind , helpful and welcoming. ….if I return to Kyoto I would be happy to stay here again. Thank you 🙏
