We are return guests to Millennium , never fails to impress us . Location is superb, in house restaurant. Plus others nearby

The location was easy to access.
There were nice water views from our room.
The room had good curtains for sleeping.
Our greeting upon arrival was very robotic and uniform. There was no warmth or welcome.
We had booked the penthouse with the option that we were having friends meet us for a wine on the deck to take in the view prior to heading to Salt for dinner.
When we arrived there were two stemless wine glasses and two coffee cups. On the dirty deck that has not been cleaned for some time was a broken cane table and no outdoor chairs. The two inside dining table chairs were worn and tired. It was not an option for us to enjoy the balcony here and we opted to head to another restaurant in town.
All the furnishings are tired and broken. There are minimal comfort items. One polar fleece blanket was available for the bedroom. When you’re helping to save the kiwis, could you not supply an NZ wool blanket at least?
Unfortunately our room was not tidied and cleaned by 4pm on our second day and when we inquired about this we were told that they were short staffed. There were minimal guests in the hotel so I’m not sure that this stands as we were out of the room at 9am and returned at 4pm.
Eventually a lovely young lady was sent to clean. I was embarrassed for her. She was very uncomfortable with us being here. I made the bed myself, asked for clean towels (which were replaced), the tea and coffee canisters weren’t refilled and our coffee cups weren’t washed. We had no dishwashing liquid supplied and when I asked for new coffee cups they were rinsed in cold water and returned to us.
The outside of the penthouse has paneling coming of the exterior, the below roof is dirty, the joinery is aged. The carpet requires a clean.
Most of all the service was appalling.
Location was spot on. I could walk everywhere and the on-site restaurant and cocktail bar was wonderful.
Great location
Location is excellent, right next to Puke Ariki, close to the coastal walkways and restaurants! Very convenient to explore around and we enjoyed our stay!
The Beds are comfortable and the location is good
The Floor smells of wet carpet and the bathroom does not smell clean. There is no complimentary water and was no filling stations.
I loved everything about this hotel . The staff were outstanding, the room was fantastic with fabulous views and the most comfortable bed .
