Friendly staff, lovely setting and comfy rooms
Dinner was great anbd there was plenty of parking - lots of EV charging spots too
Would stay again
Not much to like
Breakfast not served until 8am so I had to skip it, dinner average at best. No TV in room this has to be a first for 2026.
The staff are as glorious as ever, but now wondering what their future holds.
Sadly the hotel is now for sale and the standards have dropped. A broken window in my bedroom did not help for a 3 night stay, and the quality of the food has become quite sub standard. The hotel requires maintenance, but clearly the current owners cannot deliver it.

Beautifully updated pub hotel, friendly efficient staff, comfortable room and great breakfast.
Room on road side quite noisy if you need window open.
Staff were very friendly, super charger for our electric car and dog friendly.
Issues resolved.
Great location Friendly staff. Room was immaculately clean. Easy parking.
Shower ran a bit hot and cold but nothing drastic
Room was very comfortable and homely. We were able to check in early before the wedding we were attending.
Staff were friendly and helpful, didn't feel at all rushed to check out next day and enjoyed the garden and the lounge area. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay. Thank you 🤩
ps lovely breakfast! x
Nothing
Friendly helpful staff. Had a small issue with room which was handled swiftly. Waiter, Oscar, was charming and friendly. Love the ethos of locally sourced produce and as little plastic in the rooms as possible. Be aware they do not have televisions so you either need to stream on your personal device or enjoy the escape.
We had done a long walk so I was looking forward to a bath. (website said all rooms had bath and shower) Our room had only a shower. Moved us to one with a bath and even brought me up a bottle of Radox to soak the aching muscles.
Staff made it extra special. Breakfast staff in particular worked so hard and were always lovely. Ghillie, James, had excellent knowledge of all things fishy! Reception staff recommended places to visit and cleaning staff in the dog friendly rooms went out of their way to be helpful when one of us was unwell.
Room 20 door handle!
