Friendly welcome. We did not have time for breakfast both mornings but appreciated the tea and coffee facilities in the room. As we had left a 'Do not disturb' sign, the day we were out, I was impressed staff left fresh supplies of tea and coffee and water outside the door. Very nice fine porcelaine Arundell mugs and water glasses in room.
Room decor was very cosy. Serene Devon country view. Roberts radio emitted soothing music. Vintage round dial phone was cute. Bathtub was sparkling. Wardrobe had long mirror inside. Easy to add bar/meal items to the bill. Tesla chargers on site made our journey so much easier which was a big plus.
Bath and shower need reading up about first . Fine, but you just need to take the time to stop and try them out before you get started. Hot water we found came quickly so not much time to find out how to adjust without switching off. Couldn't work out how to put the ironing board with iron back in the wardrobe, so left it out in room the whole time.
No TV in our room - not a big negative but we were surprised. Probably goes with the theme of peace and calm.

The shower had no cold water for a while in the morning then was either scorching or cold. The food was average for the money.
A wonderful family stay at The Arundel. Minutes off the A30 - with loads of electric charging spots. Easy to locate.
Staff were so friendly and welcoming throughout, and the rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable — we had a gorgeous room overlooking the garden. We also had an evening meal which was excellent: great quality food, relaxed and friendly service, and some brilliant local cider to go with it. Breakfast also a must!

The heat in the room was stifling!
It was like sleeping on a motorway - so much heavy fast traffic zooming right under the window from 5am
Very good location to go off and explore Boscastle and Tintagel, we did come from Dartmoor before that so it was perfect. Really nice shower (and bath) - very powerful and just what you need in the hot weather! The bed was super comfy and nice coffee. It was perfect for the one night stay we needed.

I like the fishing character of the hotel, the duck egg colour theme, the retro telephone, radio and furnitures of the room. We had great fish and chips at the restaurant, the staffs were friendly and helpful.
Low water pressure, I got no hot water in the middle of a shower, had to quick wash off the bubbles with cold water. I can hear the window rattling when the wind blew during the night that made me hard to fell asleep.

Excellent hotel avec beaucoup de charme, super petit déjeuner et espace lounge tres confortable. Le petit parc est également tres agréable. la chambre familiale étant spacieuse et bien équipée
le lit d'appoint n'était pas tres confortable, convenait pour un enfant, mais pour des adultes la nuit aurait été compliquée
