Excellent
Pros:

We don’t stay at the hotel but often call for a drink on the lovely terrace whilst on a regular break in Cromer.

The bar staff are fantastic, a real credit to the Cliftonville. Friendly, helpful, chatty, polite and always have time for us and the dog.

Special mention to the Patrick Swayze lookalike barman and the new bar girl/waitress who always says hello to our Jack Russell with a biscuit.

We tried the pizza this week which was excellent!

Sunday lunch is even better!

A lovely relaxed atmosphere, just how it should be, highly recommend.

Exceptionally friendly staff made the stay even more enjoyable. Fabulous sea views in the perfect location.
Pros:

excellent helpful staff and very friendly from the second we arrived.
Lovely decor and good atmosphere.
Hotel is in the perfect location with wonderful views of the sea.

Cons:

Car park was very dirty and the back of the property needed smarting/tidying up.
No serving signs at the corners of the bar on carnival night would have avoided me being ignored.

Nicest staff
Pros:

My best stay yet at the Cliftonville. All staff we met were friendly, welcoming and helpfull. The Whole building was looking good with some quirky pieces of nostalgic furniture and bits and pieces (lots of old radios ) The room was very good and the provision for dogs was excellent, bed, blanket, water bowl and lots of treats. Breakfast on the first morning was very good , nice menu selection and well presented. Having dogs we couldn't use the main dining room, which was a pity, we had to cross the reception to get cereal, toast etc. Second morning the full breakfast was served minus the sausage on the menu a member of staff was informed and the missing items brought to the table. The bacon was over cooked and very hard as was the fried egg yolk, A member of our group asked for red sauce, we are still waiting for it to arrive. The second breakfast aside a lovely stay

Service appauling
Pros:

Awful experience. We walked in and nobody was in the hotel bar. Asked for coffee and bacon rolls. No coffee but bacon rolls came really quickly. 2 ladies were just chatting and not clearing our table even though I asked. One of the ladies was filling salt and pepper up but not attending to coffee orders. The excuse was its was carnival day, well no customers were actually in the bar at the time.

People were complaining they were not getting their drinks and saying the place was a complete mess.

Ordered another coffee but was told there was half hour wait although still the ladies at the bar were stood chatting and not attending to customers.

Don't waste your time, an absolute disaster from start to finish.

Pros:

Excellent location with good sea views. Food was of a high quality. Comfortable, clean rooms and very helpful, courteous staff.

The lift would benefit from some modernisation.
