From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. All bookings are subject to a MYR 2 Heritage Charge per room per night. This is to be paid directly to the hotel.
Booker’s ID / passport and same credit card holder must be presented upon check in. Should the booker’s or credit card holder is not available upon check , new full payment arrangement will be made upon check-in
Should it be payment on behalf (third party), a letter of authorization with credit card copy (front & back) is required to be forward to Hotel Reservation Department prior to check in.

Worst hotel breakfast ever

Location was good. Beds were very comfortable

Cons:

The staff seem clueless. I kept having to to go back to the front desk who were quite confused, first about whether i had already paid and then saying i didn’t have breakfast which I did and then finally about having to pay for parking which was clearly stated as free in their note. It’s not much money but they should get it right. I was turned away at breakfast and again had to argue. Rooms and corridors poorly lit. First ever hotel breakfast that doesn’t have proper coffee.

Overall, the hotel offers a pleasant stay, but improvements in cleanliness would enhance experience.
Pros:

Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, with only a few exceptions, particularly in the restaurant. The technical support team is excellent—responsive, efficient, and capable of resolving issues quickly.

Cons:

The room was not as clean as expected. The bedsheets appeared worn rather than fresh, and the pillow had an unpleasant odor. The carpet also seemed unclean and may not have been vacuumed properly. In addition, the twin-bed rooms were quite dim and lacked adequate lighting. The other room, the carpet seems cleaner.

Pros:

I was quite disappointed with my stay at Grand Swiss-Belhotel Melaka. The bedsheets and pillows had an unpleasant smell, which made the room feel less comfortable. The refrigerator also had a strong unpleasant odour, making it uncomfortable to store any food or drinks. The TV was very small, and the overall room atmosphere felt dark and gloomy.

The breakfast was below average and did not meet my expectations. The hotel lobby was the only area that looked nice and welcoming. However, the parking area was in poor condition, dirty, and not well maintained.

Cons:

Considering the room rate of over RM300 per night, I do not feel that the stay was worth the price. In my opinion, an Airbnb would offer better comfort and value for money. Overall, this stay did not meet my expectations, and I hope the management will take steps to improve the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall guest experience in the future.

Housekeeping needs to be improved. We were given a tiny 22ml of shampoo and shower gel, ridiculous.

Pros:

the breakfast, the lobby. thats all.

Cons:

not clean, the mirror full of lipstick mark and people oil hands mark... the smell of the room also not fresh and very dusty..the aircond also very poor take hours to be cool but not enough.. the furniture also old, lots of scratch mark and broken... the lighting also got problem sometimes it blinking itself and the ligt not bright enough for the room. not worth it and will never come again.
