From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. All bookings are subject to a MYR 2 Heritage Charge per room per night. This is to be paid directly to the hotel.
Booker’s ID / passport and same credit card holder must be presented upon check in. Should the booker’s or credit card holder is not available upon check , new full payment arrangement will be made upon check-in
Should it be payment on behalf (third party), a letter of authorization with credit card copy (front & back) is required to be forward to Hotel Reservation Department prior to check in.

The large rooms are nicely maintained. After several weeks on the road around Malaysia these were the most comfortable beds I' had so far. Very attentive servicing of room each day. Very quiet overall.

Scent of old hotel
Beautiful lobby, Massage chair, comfortable bed, friendly staff, and quick maintenance response.
I specifically asked about the afternoon tea promotion displayed in the lobby. Although the brochure clearly stated 3pm–7pm, I was told it was only available until 4pm. Because of that, I assumed I had missed it and ordered from the à la carte menu instead. During check-out, I was informed that the afternoon tea set on the brochure is actually available until 7pm and can even be served to the room upon request. Better communication from the front desk would have prevented this misunderstanding.
The ironing board in our room was also in poor condition. The cover was torn and burnt, which should have been noticed during housekeeping inspections before assigning the room to new guests.
The air conditioner kept alternating between very cold and warm, making the room temperature uncomfortable throughout the night. We also experienced problems with the TV. Maintenance arrived promptly and fixed it, but the issues returned later. As Muslim women, we had already changed into our nightwear and removed our hijab, so calling maintenance again would have meant getting changed and covering up once more, which was quite inconvenient. We ended up sleeping in an uncomfortable room because of the inconsistent air conditioning. I even developed a sore throat and hoarse voice afterwards, although I can’t say for certain what caused it.
Another disappointment was the gym. Booking.com still lists a gym under the wellness facilities, but after searching around and even asking housekeeping, we were eventually told that the gym had been removed some time ago. The listing should be updated to avoid misleading guests.

The room is spacious and very clean.
The room is a bit too deemed not suitable for seniors. Should have lighting at tv area, there is a slope entrance to toilet and it is quite slippery even though the floor is carpet.
The room is very clean ,big and suitable for families.. The location is near the town. You can find local restaurants near the hotel.
